Chapter 26 | Paranoid

Not sure why but it felt like I was being watched. "Toni, please come get me." The weirdest sounds were coming from behind me, followed by footsteps and voices. My imagination was getting the best of me as I kept looking over my shoulder. "Y/n, can you hear me?" Distressed I brought the phone back to my ear. "Toni? I'm here. I need you to get me, right now." It felt like someone was breathing down my neck everytime I turned a corner. With two hands clinging around the device, I ran into an alley not too far from my house. You might be asking why I didn't go to there in the first place and frankly, I still have no idea.
"Where are you? Send me the loc-" Are you fucking kidding me. My phone had suddenly died. Well what a coincidence. "Shit." I cursed making an echo bounce against the endless amount of walls that were suddenly surrounding me. Everywhere I looked, a wall was looking right at me. "Why did you use me?" My eyes grew wide; it was Maggie, but she was looking down on me from an unimaginable height. All I could see was a gigantic version of her face which was floating above me. "Why did you use me?" Her voice slowly but surely started to become more high pitched everytime she spoke. I put my hands over my ears cringing at the sound of it. "Stop! Please, just stop!" I fell on my knees realising why she was doing this. Maggie was right, I used her just to get back at Cheryl. And when I finally got her back I dropped the brunette like it was nothing. Part of me thought she felt the same, that she was just looking for a fling, but maybe I was wrong. "I'm sorry ok!" Maybe she was really hurt. And who wouldn't be after what happened last night. Tears left my eyes as I put my face in my hands wanting for this to be over already. "I'm so so sorry." Through my sobs I could hear that her voice finally seemed to be dying down. 

"Hey." Her soft voice brought me back to reality. I looked around me in fear cus I had a hard time knowing what was real and what was not at that point. "It's ok you're awake now." I pulled Cheryl close to me, wrapping my arms around her tightly. Her body tensed up at first but then relaxed as I felt her hands wrap around me too. "Everything is okay now." Worst nightmare ever wtf. I usually dont get 'em cus I watch a lot of horror movies and figured I always found a way to make a dream the opposite of scary. But halloween really got to me this year. What happened to the morning after the party you might ask? Well, Cheryl and I talked- as we'd always do- and decided it was for the best to take things slow. Toni was our biggest supporter, glad to see me happy again. Because of the big black hole in my memory from the night before, right after Cheryl made out with me in front of everyone, we thought of an explanation. "Maybe someone roofied you!" Veronica whisper yelled at me from across the living room. The dark haired girl was stepping into her heels, ready to leave, but not before Cheryl made it known that she heard everything that V had said. She went crazy over this idea and made it her personal duty to tell everyone at school what would happen if anyone dared to even think about pulling that shit on me. Everyone except for the quarterbacks got scared shitless and didn't even dare to say a word back to the redhead. What could I say? I had the best girlfriend in the world.
