Our beds weren't set up yet so I guess we will be sleeping on the couch.

Good thing I own a big couch and chaise lounge that we can spread out on.

I ordered pizza so we could eat and go over things.

Sofia said she had to go that Holden was waiting on her.

"I guess it's just you and me again Dane. This has become a pattern." Pria laughed.

"Well, it looks as if neither of us has a life right now." I shrugged.

"That's true... So what are you wanting to do to Kayden's room?"

"I remember Angie saying that she wanted his room to be green in color and have deer on the wall. Do you think we should go with that?" I asked.

"That sounds fine with me. He can have a hunting room. It will be cute." She said taking a bite of pizza.

"I'll get on that then. One of Angie's friends at the bakery was going to paint it for us and I guess I'll get ahold of him and see if he still will."

"Don't forget I have a doctor's appointment next week. We will be eight months." She said.

We finished eating and sit down on the couch together. "Tell me about your mom if it's not too painful. I mean I remember when she passed but I want to know how you dealt with it."

"Every day I longed for her hugs and kisses and there was no one that could take her place but your family and mom really helped me."

"I remember you at the house a lot with that lime green purse." I laughed.

"Hey! Don't make fun of my purse. It had two peas in a pod on the bottom corner." She laughed.

"But seriously it's as they say... It just takes time." I said.

"Pretty much. There is nothing or no one that can really make it better but being around family and smiling and laughing at little things after a while helps. It doesn't mean you think of Angie less or forget her but you just have to heal."

"I don't know if my heart ever will Pria. I only had five short years with Angie but we made the most of the ones we had." I said.

She patted her lap and I turned around and laid my head on her lap even though most of it was taken up by her belly.

She ran her fingers through my hair and asked how I met Angie.

"We actually met in college. I bumped into her and spilled her drink on her and the next day I went looking for her and found her in the same area and I bought her a drink."

"Then what happened Dane?"

"I asked If I could get her number and she was shy and she always said I was too good looking for her but she gave it to me and we talked every day since."

"It was meant to be. I remember when you first brought her around and I thought she was your perfect fit. The way she smiled at you and her eyes would light up when you were around." She said.

"She was special that's for sure. I hope Kayden has her eyes or some of her features so she will always be around."

"I think she will. I think she's with us now Dane and she loves this new house."

"I think she would be glad that I'm not alone. I really appreciate you staying with me Pria and if you keep playing with my hair I'm going to fall asleep." I laughed.

"Go to sleep Dane you need it and I'm comfy where I am until I have to pee and then you have to move." She giggled.

"Thanks, Pria your the best," I said as I fell asleep on her lap. I think it was some of the best sleep that I have ever had.

I remember her gently moving my head onto the couch when she got up. I guess her bladder couldn't hold on any longer.

I fell right to sleep and never even heard my alarm go off the next morning.

I could smell something cooking and I opened my eyes and looked around and realized where I was.

I went to the bathroom and then splashed some water on my face before going to the kitchen and finding Pria standing at the stove.

"Morning Dane!"

"Morning Pria. Thanks for making breakfast."

"No problem. I had Sof bring over some pancake mix and some eggs. I figured we needed a filling breakfast before baby shopping all day long."

"All day you say?"

"Yup so get your wallet ready." She laughed.

"Oh no." I grinned and sit at the bar.

We eat and chit-chatted back and forth and well this food is good.

"So I called the bakery and talked to Joseph and he is the one that was going to come to do the nursery and he said he would come over this evening and take a look that he knew what Angie had wanted."

"Oh thank you for calling. I was going to and well I appreciate you letting me sleep on your lap last night. Even though I was on a couch sleeping it was very comfortable and I slept well."

"I'm glad you did Dane. I sit as long as I could before my bladder was about to burst." She laughed.

We cleaned up and I went upstairs to shower while she was getting ready and then we met back downstairs in the foyer.

"Are you ready to spend money, Dane?"

"Of course since it's for my baby boy," I said opening the door while she walked through.

We took my truck in case we needed to haul anything.

We walked into this upscale baby store and I started hearing the whispering. I looked over at Pria and her face was turning red.

She walked up to the counter and banged on it. "I'll have you know that Dane is a good man and no he didn't knock me up and no we aren't in a relationship! I'm carrying this baby for him and his late wife so get your facts straight and sit on one of those baby tops back there and spin bitch." She said before swinging the door open walking out.
