At 6:30 Sof showed up with Holden and while Kayden was asleep and the guys were watching some sports on tv I grabbed our drinks and went out on the patio.
"I have to say I have missed you so much. Since you become a mom we don't get to hang out much."
"I know and I'm sorry Sof. You know you can come over anytime. I'm always here now."
"So have you moved in yet?"
"No, not officially but I haven't stayed home any since Kayden was born."
"It's cute seeing you as a mom even though you didn't plan on it." She said taking a drink.
"I know but you know what I love that little boy as if he was my own." I smiled.
"I know you do and I gotta tell you these mocktails are great and look like the real thing." She laughed.
"I'm glad you brought Holden over too because Dane would have been bored." I laughed.
"I'm sure he's not bored with you and a baby around."
"Well, that's true too... Sof I really need to talk to you."
"What's wrong Pria?"
"Nothing is wrong really but I need to tell you something and I hope you understand and won't hate me."
"If you're going to tell me that you slept with my brother I'm cool with it Pria."
"Really? I mean are you sure?"
"I'm sure. I see how happy Dane is with you here and I worried about him when Angie first died that he would spiral into depression and I see him laughing and smiling."
"Nothing happened between us until last night but I really care for him Sof and I don't want it to be weird between us."
"Pria if he makes you happy and you make him happy that's all that matters to me. You didn't have to step in and be Kaydens mom and you have done it with ease and that makes me happy."
"Oh, Sof!" I said tearing up and reach out and hugged her.
"I love you Pria and my brother is in good hands. Plus I must say Aaron and I had a bet going."
"What?" You bitch!" I laughed.
"I won and I'll split the money with you." She giggled.
"What did you bet?"
"How long it would take for you two to do the mambo." She laughed.
"What did Aaron say?"
"That idiot said as soon as the baby was born but he didn't realize that you couldn't. I said six months later."
"How much money was it?" I asked laughing.
"A hundred bucks." She smirked.
"Let's take that money and go order some pizza and check on the guys."
"Alright deal!" She said texting Aaron to tell him that he lost.
We walked inside and Holden was holding Kayden while Dane was sitting on the other side of the couch.
"Well look at Uncle Holden holding Kayden." I smiled.
"I'm getting the hang of this plus he's a pretty mellow dude." Holden smiled.
"We ordered pizza thought maybe you guys were as hungry as we are."
"Oh, I'm always hungry." Dane smiled at me but all I saw was his bedroom eyes and wanting to have him right on this couch.
"Sof I forgot to tell you but Vella dropped by yesterday and this morning."
"No, she didn't? What did she want?"
"She was screaming at me yesterday and I let her have it. She was upset thinking that Kayden was mine and Dane's son. After I told her well her attitude changed for a second until she said she has rights and I shut the door in her face."
"That's what she did this morning as well saying she has rights and I told her she doesn't have shit. I'm his father and if she could act like a normal human being then I would let her visit with Kayden here in the house." Dane said.
"She never had anything to do with Angie so why does she care now? She didn't even come for her funeral."
"No, she didn't," Dane said.
"Oh, I have even better news Sof. Dad dumped Eliza!"
"No shit? Really?"
"Yup Dane and I were dancing in the file room once dad told me. She was stealing money and once she was caught she blamed me." I laughed.
"Blamed you? She's nuts."
"Well, dad isn't too sad. He said he had a date tonight with someone." I smirked.
The doorbell went rang and Dane went to get the pizza.
When he comes back with the boxes of food I took Kayden from Holden and held him while we ate pizza and talked.
Around 9 pm Sof and Holden said bye and she hugged me and told me things were more than ok between us and she was happy for us.
I couldn't help but smile as I took Kayden upstairs to get him ready for bed. I bathed him and got him ready for bed.
I sit down in the rocker and nursed and burped him and he was out like a light.
By the time Dane walked up I was putting him in his crib. I watched as he leaned down and kissed the top of his head. "I love you kiddo."
I grabbed the baby monitor and headed toward my room when Dane walked up behind me and put his arms around me and kissed the back of my neck.
"Why don't you come to my room and tell me about Sofia and what she had to say."
"Let me change into my PJs and I'll be right down," I said turning around smiling at him.
"I'll be waiting." He smiled leaned in and brushed my lips with his.
I went to my room and took off my clothes and put on my oversized shirt with my panties.
I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and gave my face a once over before walking down the hall to Dane's bedroom.
