We ate chips afterwards and watched conjuring. The film scared Mandy.
Later my friends noticed what time it was. It was ten o'clock in the morning and my parents were still gone. I wondered if Tim's party was over, but I doubted it.>>I should go.<<, Mandy said goodbye after I switched off the TV and it was completely silent for what seemed like hours. Shortly afterwards Mick also left and I was completely alone in the house for five minutes until suddenly someone rang the doorbell in front of my front door. Was it a serial killer?
No, I'm just kidding.
It was definitely the small children who always rang the doorbell at my front door, this year it was the first time. Without looking, I opened the door and saw Claire, who gave me a startled look.
Her eyes were red with tears that smeared her mascara. The raindrops ran down her face. Now she looked like a real monster. At first she stood there as if paralyzed, but then she moved slowly and took off her jacket.
The way she stood in front of me made me curious, but was also slightly annoyed. I didn't know who made her cry or why. Did it have something to do with that weird letter she was clutching her hand in front of me?
I rolled my eyes.
>>What happened?<< I sighed.
The only thing she could say was, >>I'm sorry.<<
With trembling hands, she handed me this letter.>>Meet on the Saturday after Halloween at eleven o'clock in Park Street number twenty-two, otherwise something will happen that you won't like.<<
I grinned and laughed. The author was not on it.
>>Who wrote this letter? I'm sure it's such a stupid Halloween prank.<< I said.Claire just sobbed and shook her head. I had no idea what she was telling me, but I think it was Tim. It was his address. Okay, who else should it have been. You could tell by its stupid threat. Tomorrow everything would be very different again. He threatened me several times and nothing ever happened. It was fun to watch it keep trying.
>>Go there, please.<< Claire pleaded with me.
>> Why? <<, I sighed and laughed: >> That's just - <<
I realized that something was really going wrong here. It was clearly not true. I have never seen such a terrible look in a person's eyes. I felt cold down my back and my heart raced.Claire looked like she was hiding something from me and felt uncomfortable answering my question. >>That will find out there. Please go there. Believe me.<<
Do I have any other choice? "I'll think about it." I replied and went to sleep.
