Harry’s eyes widened as he saw the girl got hit by a truck. Something deep inside of him stirred and he cried, calling the name of his beloved. He ran towards the girl and gently cradled her against his body. He never felt so frustrated and helpless in his entire life—his entire human and vampire life.
“Iris.” he patted the blooding cheeks of the girl, gently. “Iris, please wake up.” He said, frustrated. He blamed himself for this, if he hadn’t shown her what he was then she wouldn’t ran away from him.
No matter what, he was still cursed to be immortal and his love was forever forbidden. Iris was his first love. He never did like love, not until he met the girl. He didn’t know if he should be thankful that he was immortal that he met the girl or what.
Four hundred years ago, he clearly remembered it—he killed a man he argued with when he was drunk in a pub. He regretted it. He wasn’t the one to kill but due to alcohol he did it. What he didn’t know, the wife of the man cursed him, to be alone like her and not to have a loved one. Then there he was, holding the bloody body of a girl he love deeply and cared for. His body shook from crying.
“Iris, I love you.” He whispered in the wind, hoping that it will carry his message above in heaven.
Oh heaven, he smiled bitterly, he will not be able to enter heaven even if he die, for his soul was burning in hell. He couldn’t be with his Iris in heaven. He was evil and corrupted while she was pure and innocent as an angel. The only human who can bring out his brighter side. Oh she was gone, as he lost the tiny piece of humanity left inside of him.
He was now a monster, his heart was pure black and nobody’s love can pass through. Even if it’s a human so much pure and innocent than his love, it couldn’t. For only his black heart yearns for one name, one girl. He yearned her touch and her voice saying his name sweetly. It couldn’t be now, for she is gone. All that was left for him to do is to yearn for her.
“I-“ Harry mumbled the last few words before crying hysterically.
He yearns for only one girl, one name
Though with same name, it’ll never be the same
For he wants her, exactly, nobody but her
Oh cruel fate, he’ll year for her forever.
