Chapter Fourteen

The next few weeks passed by in a blur. Nothing too interesting had happened except for Emma still trying to weasel her way into Liam's heart.

Niall and I had gone on a few more dates and had officially told the group. We made it clear that it was nothing official and that we were taking things slow.

Oh! The boys video had also gotten alot more views and they were in the millions. They created their own channel where they posted covers of songs which had passed over 200 000 subscribers.

It was the Friday and we were planning on going prom dress shopping. We had been putting it off for weeks because somehow something always came up. We sat in the cafeteria, chatting.

"I'm thinking something really classy." I said, leaning my head on Niall's shoulder.

"Hey, can I sleep over tonight?" Maddie asked me, smiling.

"Yeah sure, my parents left last week anyway."

"Hold on, sleepover? I'm in." Georgia smacks the table.

"Yeah, same here." Harry nods. I looked at them.

"How did this turn into an official thing?" I laughed.

"Yeah we'll all sleepover!" Louis pats my shoulder.

"I have a feeling this wasn't a spontaneous question." I looked at Maddie. I heard Niall chuckle beside me, his laugh sending vibrations through my body.

"Perhaps not," Maddie kisses my cheek and gathers her books. "I have to go see about some extra credit homework, but I'll see you this in abit to go shopping!"

"Hold on, I'll come with you." Diana got up and threw her arm around Maddie. "See you all later!"

"This one would look STUNNING on you!" Olivia grinned, holding up an emerald green dress to my body.

"Oh I love this one!" I squealed, grabbing it from her. Her phone buzzes and she checks it before smiling widely at the screen. I narrowed my eyes and glance over at Maddie, who was doing the same thing. We both wink at each other.

"Liv?" Maddie asks, stepping toward her.

"Yeah?" Olivia mumbles, texting back, barely looking up.

"What do you think of these shoes?" Maddie grabs a random pair of heels from a nearby shelf.

Olivia looks up for a split second and I use it to grab her phone from her hand. She realizes a second to late as I start sprinting across the store.

I look down at what she was smiling at and gasp before turning around to where she was already running towards me.

"OLIVIA!" I screech, charging towards her before enveloping her in a hug.

"SHUT UP RIGHT NOW!" She yells back, but hugs me back too.

"WHAT IS IT!" Maddie grins, followed by the rest of the girls.

"Oh Liv," I wipe away at the tears welling up in my eyes. She sniffles on my shoulder and I rub circles on her back.

"How long?" I say as we pull away from the hug. I knew that the others were looking curiously at us, but it didn't matter right now.

"Just a few weeks." She smiles, wiping her cheeks.

"GUYS HELLO WHAT IS IT?" Maddie huffs, irritated. I look over at Olivia.

"Liam and I are sort of a thing..." She mutters before her hands cover her face.

"OH OLIVIA!!" Diana jumps forward and engulfs her in a hug. Maddie stands with her mouth open and Georgia wraps her arm around my waist.

Olivia had her heart broken pretty badly last year, and had sworn off dating ever since. It was pretty bad, we'd never seen her cry as much as she did that night. We spent the entire weekend with her and worried about her for weeks after. The fact that she had opened up to allow Liam into her life like that might not be a big deal to most, but for Olivia it meant so much.

"Alright! Alright! Back to shopping, okay?" Olivia laughs. We all agree and pull each other into a quick group hug before turning back to the collection of dresses and heels.

"We come bearing gifts!" Niall opens my front door, holding a bag in one hand. "You guys should really lock the door, it's dangerous. Any crazy person can just walk right in."

"I bring snacks!" Harry strolls in, holding up another bag.

"See." Niall rolls his eyes, pointing at Harry.

"We have a guard dog!" Maddie rolls her eyes, stroking Astrids fur.

"Oh! What a vicious dog!" Zayn grins, pretending to be hurt as Astrid jumps on top of him.

Our attention turns to Liam as he walks in. He does not make any move to say anything to Olivia, because we obviously "don't know". I glance over at Olivia who was clearly avoiding eye contact with him.

"Oh cut it out, we know." Georgia rolls her eyes, already grabbing a bag of chips out of the bag Niall brought.

"Know what?" Louis raises an eyebrow, plopping onto the couch next to Maddie.

"We know." I repeated, looking at Liam.

"You know?" Liam's eyes widen, and looks over to Olivia for confirmation. She only nods shyly.

Liam grins in response and immediately walks over to her and kisses her softly. The boys all cry out in shock while us girls all cheer for them.

"Oi! That's two out of five! I wonder who's next." Louis grins, winking at Diana.

"Never in a million years." Diana scoffs. "You'd drive me absolutely insane."

"That's the point, love." Louis makes smooching noises at her and she shoves his shoulder, laughing.

Niall sits down next to me and I immediately cuddle up to him.

"You find a dress?" He smiles down at me, squeezing my arm.

"An emerald green one, it's so cute." I smile, looking up.

"Guess I'll have to get an emerald tie." He looks back up to the TV. I look up at him again.

"Really?"

"Really." He kisses the top of my forehead, absorbed in the movie. I put my focus back onto the TV and smile happily.

We spent the rest of the night watching movies and chatting. I'd always had a big friend group, the girls and I technically grew up together. but now our friend group had doubled in size and somehow it felt even more cozy. That was the last thing I thought about before I drifted off to sleep on Niall's lap.
