Never and forever

"I've been thinking" i broke the comfortable silence between us, "what if someone kidnaps me again" i don't doubt it happens, "i don't want to be the damsel in distress" he chuckled

"and what do you want to do about that?" he asked turning his head briefly to see me but continued walking

things changed after that night. after he kissed me under the moon light. we are together now, but in secret. we have lovely nights and day activities. but before doing them we need to make sure no one is around. kissing is the more difficult part, we never know if someone can bump into the room and see us. but I'm happy, i think we both are. even we haven't figure out how to keep it, we are enjoying it now. and when time tells, everyone will know. until then, it's an untold tale

"hmmm" it took me a while to know the answer. "what if you teach me to fight and use the sword" i wondered, turning my gaze to meet the hazel eyes and stopped walking

he made a stun expression, "are you being serious?" his eyes widen and i nodded. "it's difficult" my expressions gave no clue of a joke or regret. "okay, i can try" he agreed to my petition and a smiled formed on my face

"where do we train?" i said with excitement

"right now?" i nodded, "now, now" i rolled my eyes playfully and agreed once again

I'm excited for this. my brothers were taught how to fight and defend themselves, after all, kings are suppose to lead the force if we ever get into a war. but as i am a lady people assume i am stupid or some other thing with no sense so i don't know how to defend my self and that was clear when Bradley kidnapped me

we arrived to a field where Tom and all the other knights train, there is no one, except for us. there are some target shootings too. he arrived and gave me an arc. "i think you could be good with this" i smiled and he placed himself behind me. "you gotta open you legs at the height of your shoulders and then point your toes out, like if they where looking out" he explained and i did as he said

then, he gently accommodate my arms and hands in the correct position to hold the weapon in my hands. "you need to put pressure with the left hand" he said next to my ear and with his left hand he helped me press the grip, "relax the fingers" his fingers drew small circles on my hand for my fingers to relax as he said

"now place one finger on top of the arrow and other two below it" i did as he said, "now pull it back" with his right hand he helped me do it. he placed the same fingers as me and pull the arrow with the string back. "keep your shoulders as low as you can" he commanded, "look straight to your objective and let it go" he released my hand and with that the arrow

i smiled when the metal point arrived to where it had to. Tom released me body and moved aside to get another arrow, then handed it to me. "now do it by yourself" i pressed my lips together and then turned my body to face my objective and accommodate in the correct position

"keep your shoulders down and on a straight line" he reminded me, "keep the tension on the muscles and relax the fingers on the string" i did it, close my eyes briefly and took a breath, then open them and released the arrow

i could feel how he smiled when the arrow deviated. "it's your first time" he said, "you'll get better over time" he arrived next to me and handed me my next arrow. "save the alignment and posture until the arrow hits its target"

i did everything for a thousand times, each time better than the previous one, until my arrow finally hit the center of the reveille. "i told you you where going to be good with this one" he arrived next to me and i smiled at him, "now i think it's enough for today, your majesty" he emphasize the title giving me a smile at the end. he knows how much i hate when people call me like that and likes teasing me with it
