In the crown

"Everything is ready, your majesty" the chancellor speared behind the ladies maids who were adjusting my dress

I looked at him from the mirror and nodded to him pointing out I'll be there in a minute

The maids finished with the dress and hair and put on the jewelry in my ears and neck. I gave my self a last look on the big mirror in front of me and made a victorious smile to my self before exciting the castle towards the carriage waiting for me

Once we arrived to the church where the ceremony is taking over, I picture most of the kingdom outside, waiting for their new queen to arrive. And once I walked towards the pedestal, I admire how nobility, royalty and everyone with a noble title was present on the ceremony, watching me arrive

The sovereign started the coronation oath and after he spoke and after I spoke he took the crown on his hands and showed it to everyone in the crowd before placing it in my head. I stood and turned around, "long live the queen" everyone said in unison

Then it was the turn of the plebeians to adore me

The party took place in the castle, in the ball room. Everyone dancing and enjoying over my ascent to the throne

"Guess you didn't need a husband after all" a voice I met long time ago spoke, making me turn to find out who it belonged to

"I need no one" I replied to the prince

"We thought you were dead and now you'll be reigning" I didn't answer. "It's been a while" he kept talking, "otherwise than you, I got married" he looked at me waiting for an answer but he got nothing. "The knight still can't take his eyes off you" I feel them day and night and I can't understand how he can look at me after what he did. "Are you alright?" he asked worried

"Why wouldn't I? I'm the queen" I finally put my eyes on him and he studied me after that. And as everybody else, he realized I'm not the same little girl he once met

"I'm sorry about your father" he said to end and departed to the snack table

Every one in the party came to me and wished me the best so as they told me I am going to be a great queen. But I know they don't mean it. No one thinks I'm able to run this town. They don't think a woman can be able to do something more than wave and look pretty. But I am going to prove them all wrong and they are going to regret everything

All these people got me sick

I went out to walk below the stars. This is the part of me that is never going to change

"Dolunay" he said behind me, walking every time closer, "full moon in-" he arrived next to me

"I know what you are doing" I interrupted before he could finish. I face him with harsh eyes, he turned to look at me with his chocolate eyes full with mercy, "don't do it" I turned and began my way back to the party and far away from him

"What am I doing?" he asked before I wasn't able to listen anymore. I stopped

"I told you that" I turned once more, "and all this time you've been trying to get closer to me. To get to me. Stop acting like there is something in between us. There's not" I stare at him for a moment. I can't read him anymore. Or maybe it caused nothing over him. Maybe I never meant something to him after all. Because if I did, he would have never done that

"Y/n, I'm just trying-" he tried to explain his actions but I won't let him full me with stupid excuses

"What?" he looked down briefly, "you left me" I reminded him, "I loved you" I punctuate

"I made a mistake, I know, but you are acting different"

"People change. You should know that" he stared at me in silence, "now, please don't talk to me again if it's not for work purposes" I talked to him as a queen and not as the girl who was once his lover. I gave him a last look and turned once more
