Edaline's POV

We run back to camp, the raining pouring, soaking through my clothes to my skin. I shiver as we get closer, and when I can see my horse I beam.

I run straight to him and untie him from the tree. I lead him over to where I slept on the ground and picked up the soaked blanket and my backpack, which is also soaked.

I throw it over my shoulders and the wet bag soaks through my clothes even more. I shiver as I jump up onto Killian and struggle to get on. I finally manage to get up and I grip his reins looking over at Eren. I reach behind my head and grip my hood, pulling it up over my hair.

"We need to move, brat are you ready?" Levi yells over the wind and rain. Eren yells back and we move. The horse start out slow but pick up the pace quickly, running across the muddy path.

The wind beats down hard and I hear thunder in the distance. The sky flashes with white every so often and the horses get spooked. We veer a few times but make it back on track just as quickly. I squint my eyes through the rain and try to look ahead.

Levi rides far in front of me, his green cape snapping at the wind and moving with speed. His hood flies back and I watch as his hair flows behind him. I feel my mouth go slightly agape as I just watch the movements they make in the wind.

My mind travels back to the dream I had and I shake my head to get it out, Levi would never do such a thing.

"How much longer!" Eren shouts suddenly and I turn to look at him, his skin a pale color and his lips drained. He must be freezing, I'm freezing.

"Not long!" Levi yells back. We push the horses harder, the rain making it almost impossible to see and the lightning even more dangerous with all our gear.

Another 30 minutes pass before a big stone castle comes into view, I almost yell out with joy but hold my tongue back, thinking about how angry Levi will be if I scream.

Finally, I can't picture the warm fire now, the warm shower and my warm bed. I smile as I shiver and the clothes stick to my body.

The horses slow as we approach the castle. The wind pushes back my hood and my wet hair streaks behind me. It whips in my face and my eyes squint even more to see in front of me.

They head straight to the stables, already knowing where to go, and the inside provides shelter from the storm. I lead him to a separate post and hop off immediately, grabbing the reins and tying him off. I unhook the saddle on the bottom and pull it off of him.

He shakes and droplets fly towards me, "Ah!" I shout as they hit me and I wipe my eyes as he just grunts at me. "I love you too." I mumble to him.

I readjust the bag strap and pull my hood back up to cover my long brown hair. I walk quickly towards the entrance of the stable and look out at the castle, the concrete bricks are big and staggered. There are no windows, just holes on the side of the towers.

It's smaller than I remember. This place was so big compared to the last time I was here, just as a new recruit on Levi's team. I just stare. I stare at the doors, the grounds, the woods surrounding it. My heart hurts.

My chest shudders and my hands shake as the guilt creeps in again. My throat closes as I picture them, the smiles and laughing. I may not have known them for very long but, I was still apart if this team.

I shake off the feeling and mask my emotions as I run to the doors. Eren is already inside by the time I get there. He's walking farther into the castle, paying no mind to me as I look around.

I walk down the familiar hallway towards my old room. I pass Petras on the way and pause. I look towards the door and grab the handle before I know what I'm doing. I don't ever remember being Petras friend but I remember her as a nice person.
