Edaline's POV
Damn I should not have taken a nap on the tables. My neck is killing me. I shouldn't have closed my eyes.
And now thinking back I remember having a dream about Captain Levi. How annoying. Even in my dreams he's haunting me with cleaning supplies.
Ugh, I shiver. I roll my neck and rub my hand in it, trying to relieve the pain. I stand up from the tables and look around. I notice a tea cup next to me.
I didn't have a tea. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I closed my eyes. I shake my head and walk out of the mess hall.
I head to my room and notice that the sun is just now at its peak in the sky. I sigh and keep walking to my room. I walk in and head over to the table by my bed. I grab the sketch book I've had for years and walk out of the room.
I head out of headquarters and walk into the forest. I walk for about 5 minutes before I know I am far enough away where no one will bother me.
I open the book and flip through all my drawings and pictures. I see all the flowers, landscapes, people, and stars I've drawn. I stop on an empty page and begin drawing.
I don't know what I'm drawing, I just let my hand go on it's own. I draw a chin and then a neck. The outline of a face and the hair. By now I know who I'm drawing.
His features are so defined it's so easy to draw. His eye bags and silky black hair are so similar to the real thing. I draw his undercut and his nose.
I draw his mouth with the smirk he always has. I stop when I reach the eyes.
His expression he always has doesn't seem real. It seems like a fake emotion he wears like a mask. I can't seem to think of how to draw them right.
I hold up the drawing in front of me and look at it. It looks exactly like the real thing, except no eyes. I giggle looking at the drawing. He's such a jerk.
I lay down my journal on my lap with the drawing of Levi pointed up toward the trees. I look up and I sigh, watching the trees sway in the wind. I hear the zipping sound of the gear through the wind. I look to my right and see someone fly by.
It was a blur of black and I couldn't tell who it was. I looked back up at the trees and watch as the sun sets down the trees. I hear the gear again and watch as the person lands on one of the tree branches.
It's a women. She has short red hair and big brown eyes. She is pretty in a young feminine type of way and she looks short like me. "Hello!!" She says and waves at me. I wave back and make a small smile. She zips down to where I'm sitting and introduces herself.
"Hi, I'm Petra Ral." She says. I think I heard somewhere that she is also on Levi's squad. I don't particularly want it be friends with her but no harm no foul in being nice.
I smile and say, "I'm Edaline." Her eyes go wide. She opens her mouth and points at me. She stutters and her eyes stay wide.
"Wa-wait.... You're the new girl?" She asks finally. I look at her confused, how does she know me. I don't even know who she is. And what does she mean new girl. I'm pretty sure Levi asked a lot of people to be on his squad.
"I guess I am. I'm sorry but how do you know me?" I ask wanting to know.
She shakes her head and smiles. "It's because we are squad mates now." She says.
I guess I was right about her being on Captain Levi's squad. I watched her look down at my notebook and her smile dropped. I looked down too and saw my drawing of the Captain.
