Edaline's POV
I jump off my horse and make my way over to the Survey Corps headquarters. I follow behind some other captain, and we make our way through the doors. We walk into the mess hall and I see Commander Erwin, and many other captains, whose names I don't know.
All the new survey corps cadets sit down at the various tables and wait for further instructions. Erwin stands up and makes a speech about which squads we are going to join.
I don't really pay much attention because it doesn't matter that much to me. I place my head on my propped up hand and start staring off into the distance and daydream about life beyond the walls, before pair of cold gray eyes catch my eye.
I stare right back into those eyes and focus on all the colors in the irises. They were really beautiful eyes. My arm drops and I sit up straighter.
My eyes travel down the face the eyes belong to and I begin to recognize this man. He was the one standing next to the commander when he gave the speech about joining the Survey Corps.
I sit up even more as I notice this man is staring right back at me, a hard determined look on his face.
After a few moments or so, I begin to notice everyone standing up from their seats. I break eye contact and look around noticing everyone leaving the mess hall. I completely missed with the commander said so I just follow the lead of everyone else till I hear someone call my name.
"Edaline." I turn and see the commander walking towards me. What could he want now? "Have you met with Lance Corporal Levi yet?" He asks me.
Is this man he was talking about when he visited my cabin back at the training grounds? I shake my head, no, and he sighs.
"I'll direct you to his office." He says looking me in the eyes again.
His eyebrows distract me so I have no idea what he said but I follow him anyways.
We walked through the hallways and took many turns before we finally stopped at the door. He knocks on the door and a muffled grunt is heard from inside. "Name and business." Says the voice from inside the room.
"It's Erwin," he says then pauses, "And Edaline. I would like you to meet with her." He says.
I hear a scrape on the floor from inside and in a matter of seconds the door opens to reveal the man I was staring at only minutes ago.
And holy moly. I mean damn. Looking at him from across the room didn't do him any justice.
I look up at him, he is only 2 or 3 inches taller than me but that was enough. I lightly clear my throat to save myself from my embarrassing thoughts and the pink color rising to my cheeks.
"Tch." He voices. I'm stunned. He's such a rude person. The feelings I had only seconds ago were shut down by his attitude. I felt a scowl on my face and I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes.
As he was looking at me I looked him up and down, meeting his gaze once again and voicing with my eyes that he wasn't much to look at either.
Which was a complete lie. He was a full meal, but I couldn't let him know I saw him like that. He's a captain for goodness sakes.
Levi's POV
The girl standing in front of me is the same one from the other night and the graduation ceremony. This is who Erwin was talking about?
You can tell just from looking at her that she has an attitude problem and is going to be extreme trouble, especially for me.
I lean on the doorframe and sigh, crossing my arms and legs. She better be pretty important to have disturbed me.
