Ravens P.O.V
Right now in this moment I was being berated by my parents about going to the game. The were telling me about how irresponsible I was and pulled out the high schoolers are idiots cards once again. It was a football game not some party. God knows, they'd drag me out by hair for being somewhere where people were drunk or worse stoned.
I know for a fact that my mothers did some of those things when she was younger as well, hypocrite. As for my Dad, I really don't know. I couldn't explain to them that I went to get my Beats from a friend. Or how I went into the guys changing room to retrieve them. Nope, they'd have a mental breakdown. In their eyes I can't have boys getting in the way of my education. They already have a problem with my constant use of music.
"Raven, you're not allowed to go to another football game for the rest of the year" my father says.
"You've been pulling this teenager mess over and over on us" he started. Great, here comes the whole we're not Americans, that isn't how he was raised and on and on and on. I've heard this since the 8th grade once I actually started to have real friends.
"This is my senior year!" I yell back. I usually just take the rants but I can't do this. I'm a Senior I have what, 6 months left of high school. Then I'm leaving for college which I'm hoping is very far from home. My parents thought I'd go to a school that was close to home. Nope, I want to live on campus in dorms away from them.
"You still live under our roof. We have provided for you for your whole life do not back talk us Raven" my Dad says angrily.
"You guys always say that! Like I owe you something for doing what you're supposed to do! If you didn't want kids you could have given me up or had an abortion! You act like I should be indebted to you for doing your job!" I yell back.
"Raven" my mom says sharply.
"What? Do you want me to pay you back for all the money and things you did for me cause you're brought me into this world and took care of me? Fine, I'll pay you back" I snap. I hate when they do that. I hate owing people anything. I thought if its your family it doesn't matter. I storm off livid.
I want to talk to someone but Megan and Ruri are out of the question. Megans off god knows where with her phone off. Ruri is dealing with her parents constant attempts of having a real family dinner. That only leaves Clayton. Maybe he'll pick up. He's not my first choice but maybe he'll put me in a better mood. I quickly facetime him. He pops up on the screen.
"What is it Rave?" he says his voice slurred.
"You okay?" I ask furrowing my brow.
"Yep" he says popping his p playfully.
"I wanted--I needed someone to talk to" I say quietly.
"Princess, you've got me?" Clayton says gripping his chest lightly. He looked really far gone. His eyes fluttering open and close every few minutes.
"Clayton, seriously are you ok?" I say worriedly. He nods his head.
"Tired, is all. Just tired" he says softly. I don't believe him but drop it.
"So whats wrong honey-bunches?" he says his voice perking up.
"I'm not your honey-bunches and I just need to rant if that's okay with you" I say.
