"Ruri, that's too much stuff! We can't pack all of that away" I explained. Ruri had brought her Louis V luggage bags with her, which took up all the space of the van we were using. She pouted exasperated.
"But we're going to San Fran, Ravennn" she moaned, "I need this many outfit changes."
"No, you really don't" I insisted. I pulled out the 1st bag I saw in the trunk and opened it. It was filled with shoes.
"You do not need 6 inch Valentino heels" I scold, wagging the red-bottomed shoe. Ruri huffed but began to take out bags that didn't hold the necessities. We dwindled down her pile into 2 medium-sized suitcases, a feat in itself. I dumped my oversized duffel into the back as well, it was filed withe 3 weeks worth of clothes and other necessities. Clayton lumbered over to us carrying his own bag, and Megan's. He plopped them in, and was prepared to shut the trunk.
"Dude, I know you know my shit isn't in the damn van yet!" Daren yells. Clayton grins, and turns around to Daren.
"Already struggling, Daren" Clayon says with shake of his head.
"Dude, you're an ass" Daren says with mocking tone. Clayton rolled his eyes and lightheartedly shrugged.
"I'm a handsome ass though" Clayton says correcting Daren, "Right, doll?" He turns to me with expectantly, with his feathery smile.
"Mmmm, more cute than handsome" I ponder aloud, looking over his features. He pouts humorously, and I plant a barely there kiss on his cheek.
"Yikes, I'm not gonna be subjected to you two kissing the whole time on this trip." Megan whines.
"Okay, thennn....I'll just have to...kiss you!" I laughed, tackling Megan.
"Mwah, Mwah, Mwah" I say exaggeratedly, as I fake kissed Megan. She yelped, and then began laughing hysterically. She rolls me off of her, and runs into the van. I brush myself off, and tuck a stray duffle bag strap into the trunk of the van.
Clayton heaves the trunk close, and we begin to pile into the van. I climb into the passenger seat, and Clayton sits behind the wheel. Ruri sandwiches herself between Clayton and I's chairs, and starts to flip through the radio channels.
"What do we want to listen to?" Ruri asks, looking between Clayton and I. I shrugged my shoulders , and Megan spoke up.
"BRYSON TILLER! BRYSON TILLER!" Megan yelled.
"Uhhh, lemmeee...try tooo...Yep! Here we go." Ruri says. "Sorry Not Sorry" by Bryson Tiller began to blare through the van's speakers. Megan began belting out the lyrics,
"I know you thought we had something special But you don't mean nothing to me Girl, I'm sorry you not the one for me"
Megan and Ruri swayed from side-to-side bobbing to the music. Daren rolled his eyes jokingly, and sat back with his arms crossed. Clayton glanced slightly to the back, his eyes flicking off the road for a second.
"Oi, man. Don't kill us, pay attention!" Ruri exclaimed pointdly. Clayton threw up his hands. As in, removing his hands from the wheel. The scream that ripped from Ruri's throat was ear splitting. In a matter of seconds his hands were back on the wheel, and he leisurely made a left turn into the exit.
