Chapter 37

The next morning Natasha in the bathroom, she is freshening up. Bucky was still asleep. Natasha had a good night sleep even though Bucky snored a lot. Must be because of the mead he had. She hears rumbling in the bedroom.

"Fuck!" Bucky shouts. "Who put that chair here?!"

"Are you okay James?" Natasha peaks around the corner.

"Hmmm... I have a headache." He grunts.

"I think you have a hangover." Natasha laughs.

Bucky is not amused and leaves the bedroom. He goes to the kitchen for some food. And there he finds Steve. He is sitting at the kitchen bar with his head on the counter.

"Hey Steve." Steve looks up, surprised, like he just woke up.

"Hey Buck." He says with a hoarse voice.

"Are you okay?"

"I think so..?"

Bucky grabs two cups of coffee from the coffee machine and hands one to Steve. "I think were hung over. Ugh.. I must say, I never missed this feeling." He yawns and rubs his eyes.

"I don't remember feeling like this ever in my life."

Bucky laughs. "It has been a while since I had so much fun like we had last night. Thank you Steve."

A week has passed. Peggy convinced Natasha to let her arrange the last things for their wedding with Pepper. Natasha and Bucky went to the doctor together to get an ultrasound.

"This technology is astounding." He says.

The doctor freezes the image.

"Here you can see the baby." He points at a small shape on the screen. Natasha can see Bucky concentrating on the image, squinting his eyes. Just a few moments later she can see his eyes tearing up. "There it is. I see it... Amazing" He whispers and turns to Natasha to kiss her.

Bucky and Natasha are lying on the bed. Bucky rests his head on her stomach, having a conversation with it.

"You're going to be as handsome as your mother."

"...And as strong as your father!"

A white fur ball jumps on the bed, it plants itself between Natasha and Bucky and rests his head on Natasha's stomach.

"I think he already knew before we even knew." Says Bucky. "Cats can do that you know."

They're startled as someone knocks on the door.

"Are you clothed?!" They hear Sam shout.

"What do you want Sam?" Bucky shouts back.

"The plane is ready to leave for the island!"

Bucky grabs all the bags in the room.

"I can carry my own bags honey. I'm not disabled." Natasha grabs her own bags and carries them to the plane. Bucky grins. "I just don't want you to strain yourself."

"Come on, I'm not made of sugar." She winks at him. "See you soon Alpine!" Bucky pets him on the head, and scratches his chin.

Besides Natasha and Bucky, on the plane are Steve, Peggy, Sam, Pepper and Morgan. The rest of the guest are arriving tomorrow by plane.

It has been an hour and a half, and the plane has landed on the island. A man runs up to the landing zone and takes Natasha's hand and shakes it.
