Chapter 38

It's just a few hours before the ceremony. Bucky is nervous. Last night they slept in different huts and he missed her so much even though it was just one night. He is finishing putting on his suit when Steve walks in.

"You look great Buck."

"Thanks Steve." Bucky is struggling with his tie, his hands are shaking because of his nerves. Steve walks up and helps him. "What's wrong? Why are you nervous?"

"I haven't told you this Steve but I feel I can tell you now." He sighs and smiles. "Natalia is pregnant, I'm going to be a father."

"What?! Really?? Congrats!" Steve pauses for a second. "But how?"

"All because of you. At least we think. It's a long story, I will bore you with it later."

"Wow, that's amazing." Steve grins and gives Bucky a big hug.

Natasha is in her hut. With her are Peggy and Pepper. They are helping her to get dressed. The dress is hanging on the door, her bouquet in a vase on the table.

She is sitting in a chair as Pepper does her hair. She is making a half-braid up do, with a beautiful hair clip with diamonds she got from Pepper.

"It's beautiful Pep. Thank you." Natasha's eyes are starting to tear up. Peggy brings her a tissue to dry her tears. "Oh sweetie stop it. Or I'll start crying too."

Both laugh their tears away.

"I remember when me and Tony..." She pauses. "When you see him, you'll forget your nerves and Bucky is the only person you'll think about."

"I want to tell you something Pepper. Bucky and I, we are expecting a baby."

"Really?! Amazing! I'm so happy for you two." She hugs Natasha tight. "Now let's get you in that dress.

Bucky stands at the altar, waiting. It's a beautiful day, the sound of the sea behind him and the sun is shining bright. The aisle is decorated with the most beautiful flowers. Bucky is nervous and is fidgeting with his fingers. Steve comforts him by placing his hand on his shoulder.

Natasha is waiting around the corner. Peggy and Pepper are with her to walk her down the aisle. She looks around the corner and can see all the guest sitting next to the aisle. She feels nervous. "Oh shit. This is really happening."

"Yes it is. And you should enjoy every second of it. Nerves and all." Pepper hugs her. "Come. Let's go."

The music stars playing. Bucky looks up and waits for Natasha to walk up to him. Natasha gets pulled along by Pepper and Peggy. Her bare feet leave footprints in the warm sand. She looks up and sees Bucky. He is as handsome as ever. He wears light grey pants, vest and tie. The sleeves of his white blouse are rolled up, his hair is combed back. The best part is the smile on his face. After she has sigh on him she is eager to get to him and now almost pulls Peggy and Pepper along.

At the alter she gives her bouquet to Peggy. Bucky reaches for her and she slips her hands into his. He leads her up to the alter.

"You look beautiful doll" he whispers.

"You too sweetheart." She whispers back.

As the officiant is talking they just gaze lovingly in each other's eyes, forgetting everything around them.

"I believe you wrote vows for one and other?"

Bucky nods. "You know I'm a man of few words, so I wrote it down." Bucky pulls out a folded piece of paper from his pockets and unfolds it. He clears his throat.
