Mirabella sat on the roof of the building, watching as Connor and Haytham approached the door. She had found that behind the door was a clearing crawling with guards.

Their destination was a smaller, old-looking wooden building with an open window above the door. She waited silently, seeing the father and son walk through the main door and keeping their heads down as they entered the old building.

Mirabella swiftly swung inside, landing with a light thud. "I'm hoping no one saw you," Haytham said, glancing over at her. "Like I would be that reckless," she replied in an obvious tone.

He merely sighed before going to open the door, but it wouldn't move. "It's locked," he announced, "Give me a moment."

He knelt down to pick the lock, allowing the Assassins a few moments' rest. "Must be strange for you...discovering my existence as you have," Connor commented casually.

Mirabella pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance - so it begins again. "I'm actually curious to know what your mother might have said about me," Haytham replied honestly.

He stood up with a huff once the lock had been broken. "I always wondered what life might have been like, had she and I stayed together. How is she, by the way?"

Mirabella felt her blood boil at his nonchalant tone, and thanks to her hood her face was hidden. "Dead - murdered," Connor declared sharply, glaring at his father.

"What?...I'm sorry to hear that." The look of shock on Haytham's face did not come off as genuine as Mirabella imagined, making her furrow her brows.

"Oh, you're sorry? I found my mother burning alive - I'll never forget her face as she sent me away." I remember that day, hearing news of the fire and rushing to help. I remember finding a...mangled body....

"Charles Lee is responsible for her death by YOUR order - and you're sorry?" What? "That's impossible - I gave no such order. I spoke the opposite, in fact, I told them to give up the search for the Precursor Site. We were to focus on more practical pursuits - !"

Haytham was shoved out of the way angrily by Connor. "It is done - and I am all out of forgiveness!" He briskly entered the brewery, and Haytham avoided Mirabella's gaze.

"I believe that you cared for her, so I don't think you would have ordered it," she said honestly, approaching the door.

"But I don't believe that you did not know about it until now...and I'm disappointed."

"Yet another ambush! Do you want us to be distracted and killed next time?!" Mirabella yelled, kicking one guard away. "Now is not the time, dear!"

The three of them were back to back as about eight guards surrounded them. "Don't tell me what to do!" She deflected a flailing musket before pulling out her pistol and shooting.

"Watch out!" Mirabella stumbled when a person crashed into her. She grabbed the guard and threw him down before stabbing him.

She dove under yet another flying musket, grabbing another guard and his sword and throwing him into his companion. Arms suddenly wrapped tightly around her throat, making her gasp.

"Mira!" Connor yelled, but he was blocked off. "Church told us about you pesky Assassins - especially your meddling arse," he hissed in her ear, squeezing tighter.

Mirabella choked on air as she clawed at his arm, her vision blurring. "I'll make sure your two friends are killed first before I have my fun with you," he snarled. NO!

Using her weight, she forced the guard to turn them around, kicking at his legs. "No use struggling, sweetheart, you'll run out of air faster," he sneered, chuckling. However, in the blink of an eye, he was silenced.

Mirabella kicked her legs up, using the wall for momentum and jumping high over the guard's head. She landed behind him, and with both Hidden Blades, stabbed him in the back. "Mira!"

Haytham hurried over, taking her by the shoulders, but at the sight of the Church imposter she shoved him away.

She stormed over to the trembling coward and grabbed him by the jacket collar, throwing him to the ground and kicking him in the gut. "SPEAK!!"

Her voice was deep and booming, and her icy eyes flared with rage. Connor had never seen his Mentor in such a state while Haytham only lowered his head.

"I'll tell you - anything you want, only promise that you'll let me live!" he pleaded. In response Mirabella kicked him in the face.

"You are wasting precious time, now SPEAK!" she demanded, circling him. "O-okay, okay!" Mirabella then hauled him to his feet roughly, continuing to circling.

"He left yesterday for Martinique, took passage on a trading loop called the Welcome. Loaded half its hold with the supplies he stole from the Patriots. That's all I know, I swear!"

Mirabella nodded, standing behind the man. "Worthless." The man choked on a gasp when she stabbed him with her Blade.

Her eyes were wide as she pushed the Blade deeper, feeling the blood run down her arm. She didn't miss the look of pure shock on Connor's face, as well as Haytham's impressed expression.

Something in her had snapped, and she let the body drop. "You deserve to die."
