Chapter 13

**KATHRYN'S POV**

I don't really know what compelled me to say yes to hanging out with Alex. I guess something deep inside of me secretly wanted to know what he had been up to. I ran outside and caught up with the others. "Hey guys," I said when I finally reached them. They had made there way to the local park and we walking towards the swings. Stephanie could ride swings all day if she could. "Hey Kat," She said hopping on the swing. Harry moved behind her and began to push her like she was a little kid. I took a seat next to her and Liam began to push me. I was going to refuse because I am capable of doing this myself but I decided just to let him do it. 

**STEPHANIE'S POV**

After a while of swinging the boys grew tired of pushing us and fought us to leave. I finally gave in and jumped of the swing. "You broke her easily Harry. Usually takes me like an hour of begging and screaming," Kathryn said laughing as she shoved me. "She cant say no to this," Harry said flashing a cheeky smile. I giggle and he draped his arm over my shoulder crushing me into his side. "Where are we going to go now?" I asked as we made our way down the main road. "We could go back home and watch a movie?" Liam suggested. "We will meet you guys at the house. I wanna show Harry something." I said remembering I wanted to show Harry one of my favorite things about this town they nodded in agreement and began walking home. 

As we walked Alex and Mathew emerged from the bar. I just wanted to scream, I had been having such a good day and they were going to ruin it. I just wished they would leave this town. I tried to pull Harry away from the pathway but he was too strong. "Whats wrong love?" He said squeezing me closer to him. "Uh nothing, everything is wonderful." I said lightly pecking his cheek. I tried to cover my face in my hair so Alex and Mathew wouoldn't recognize me. This failed miserably and I herd Mathew's voice call my name. "Babe, someone's calling you," Harry said squeezing my shoulder. I sighed and looked up and they were walking towards us. 

"Uh hey guys," I said quietly as they approached us. "Hey Stephanie," Alex said with a wave. "Who's your friend," Mathew said with a strange tone to his voice. "This is Harry," I said gesturing towards him. He stuck out his hand to shake hands with the boys. "Harry this is Alex and this is Mathew," As soon as the words came out of my mouth his arm tensed around my shoulder and moved to my waist. "Nice to meet you all," Harry said forcing a smile. They flashed back fake smiles. "So this has been sufficiently awkward. We should go, we have to meet Kathryn and Liam back at the house," I said pulling my hair behind my ears. "Meeting Kathryn?" Alex said with a confused look. "Yea, you know my best friend. You only dated her for about 3 years. Ring a bell?" I spat at him. "She is meeting me for a drink tonight," Alex said snapping back. "You are delusional Alex. Bye now." I said taking Harry's hand and pulling him away.

"She is going to fuck you over Curly! Just like she did with me! You'll be there for her and she will just leave. Have fun though, she is a party. Enjoy it while it lasts, but one day she will be gone. I warned you. " Mathew shouted out to us. I felt my body go numb with his words. I didn't know what I was doing I just ran. I ran as fast as I could away from there. "I told you," Was all I could her Mathew saying before I was out of sight. 

**HARRY'S POV**

Stephanie let go of my hand and sprinted away. "This is your fault you inconsiderate bastard." I yelled at Mathew. He was an annoying twat. "It would've happened sooner or later. I saved you some time. She is a bitch too. " He said sarcastically. This rush of hatred came over me and I swung. I hit him smack in the jaw line. He stumbled back grabbing his chin. His face raging with anger. He pushed forward and got me in the gut. I stumbled to the ground cutting my knuckles on the pavement. I recovered quickly and to a swing at his shoulder. He fell and I stood towering over him. "Call her a bitch one more time, I dare you," I said hissing through my teeth. "She's a cold hearted BITCH!" He shouted. I kicked him in the stomach and he grunted. I backed off of him and looked at Alex. He seemed to be the more sensible one. "Did you see the direction she went in?" I asked desperately. He nodded, "That way," He pointed to a field. "Thank you mate," I sprinted off after her.
