Natasha hated not having anything to do.

This feeling of hatred had been around since she was a child. Even though she had felt it before, it bothered her every time. She was the kind of person who wanted to do something, and if she wasn't, then she would resort to other things.

If she isn't doing something, then her thoughts would run wild. That was even worse than the helpless feeling.

She had always been moving, always been doing something, and rarely had time for breaks. It was most likely unhealthy, but it was all she knew.

The others all were working or at least had some kind of task. Tony and Bruce had the scepter to study and work on, Thor had left for Asgard to gain more information. She didn't know what Clint was doing, but she didn't exactly want to know right now. That left Steve, who most likely wasn't doing anything. Maybe she could ask to spar with him sometime.

This is why she planned to train, even though she didn't need it. She entered the familiar room, seeing the trainees go over their drills. A few stared at her when she entered, whispering to the people beside them. She ignored the students and headed towards the private training room that was made for high-level agents. The usual guard, Jerry, was at the door and greeted Natasha with a smile.

"Hello, Agent Romanoff. I haven't seen you in a while," he said.

"Well, I have been a little busy," she answered.

"I heard."

She pressed her badge on the scanner, and instead of the usual green, it was red. Jerry saw the red, and before he could say something, it looked to her that he was listening to someone on his comm.

"Yes, Director, I will let her know," he said before turning to her.

"Director Fury has declined your badge. He says that he needs you fully ready for any incidents and to not argue," said Jerry.

If she wasn't pissed off before, she was now. She knew that Fury was right. She would most likely train so hard that she would be seconds away from passing out. That was who she was, and she yearned for a hard-core workout. She hadn't had one in some time. She'd been too busy on missions and now with Loki.

"ебать."

She looked up at Jerry, seeing his confused look. She had never spoken Russian in front of him before, or really rarely anyone. Sometimes she'd accidentally resort back to it, though. Mostly when she was angry or too busy to focus on what language she was speaking in. Clint had heard her say entire spiels in Russian, and he would still listen carefully, even though he had no clue what she was saying. She shook the thought of Clint quickly from her head.

"Thanks, Jerry, for letting me know. Have a good day," she said, then turned around and headed back towards the exit.

"You too, Agent Romanoff," she heard him respond.

As she was walking back, she glanced over to once again see the trainees staring at her. Some looked pretty young, while others were much older. Not having anything better to do, she walked over towards the instructor, Agent Davis.

Agent Davis was in charge of training most of the agents in combat, even Natasha herself. Even scientists and the crew had to learn. When she was brought in, she remembered how painfully boring the training was. She already was an expert in combat, and having to watch her peers fail at such easy tasks was brutal. Agent Davis had been around in SHIELD for a while, and even though she was older, she was one of the best fighters that Natasha knew.
