fast

Clint didn't know how to feel, what to think. It seemed like everything had moved so fast. The conversation with Nat, then Thor calling the meeting, then the actual meeting. It made his head spin, and yet he thought over everything.

But mostly over his conversation with Nat. Every word said and unsaid.

Everything happened so quickly, it seemed one minute they were silent and the next they were screaming.

He remembered her opening the door to her room and him walking inside.

--- a few hours before ---

Natasha closed the door behind him and stood facing it for a few seconds before turning around.

"Where do we even begin?" he asked.

"I have no fucking clue," she responded.

They were both silent, waiting for the other to begin. Clint finally decided that he should start.

"I'm sorry about being an asshole to you. Especially after you interviewed him the first time. I just don't want to be treated like I'm fragile right now. It is miserable to be treated like that, especially by you."

"Thanks for the apology, but I have to be honest, Clint. You are fragile right now."

"What?"

"You'll never admit that to yourself, but everyone can see it. I know you want to be tough, but I, and everyone, know that Loki is a touchy subject. And with everything happening, you have snapped a few times."

"Yeah, I have, when you all started trusting the bastard after watching one damn video."

"You and I both know that isn't true, at least for me. I still don't trust him."

"You don't trust him because the 'evil' one is controlling him, not because you think he's lying as I do."

"Yes, Clint, I do believe he isn't lying. And you would too. If you actually saw him."

"I've seen that asshole enough."

"Maybe so, but it will help."

"Will it? Because all I will feel when looking at him is anger."

"At least that anger will be let out on him and not Thor."

"I'll admit it, I was being a dick to Thor."

"You were."

"But it was an emotional time for everyone."

"Фигня."

"I may not speak Russian, but I know what you said."

"Good, because it's true. That excuse was фигня."

"I think I will just have to agree to disagree. Now with other matters, I know you are speaking with Laura."

"Obviously. Why do you think she is not messaging you constantly?"

"What did you tell her?"

"The truth. Not the full, as it is classified, but enough to where she understood and knew what to do."

"Which basically means you told her everything since she's giving me space, and we both know that isn't normal Laura."

"She was worried, Clint. We both were."
