Reader's Pov

"Guys, I think I might know how to close the portal." You said into the earcomms alerting everyone. In the movie, Natasha was supposed to use Loki's sceptres but not everything was going according to it, if it did, it would have happened by now. So, I decided to take the matter into my own hands.

"How?", Cap urged breathlessly, he sounded slightly weak and all of the others were also gradually slowing down with the number of Aliens that were rising. I was afraid if this plan would work even if it did in the movie. Movies and reality are different and much further frightening, now everyone was counting on me and that made me more anxious but I would help as much as I can because I am one of the Dark Warriors.

"Nat, do you copy!", I asked as I strike another Chitauri in the head, it burning into ashes instantly in front of my eyes. "Loud and clear", She replied and by hearing her panting, she also seemed busy with the beasts.

"I want you to snatch the sceptre from Loki and meet me where the Tesseract is. He's heading your way. Yoongi you know what to do next" I spoke and I earned a, "On it!" from both of them.

Seeing that I was distracted, one of the ugly bastards came up to me from behind but thankfully my enhanced senses came to my aid and I was able to dodge its spear before it stabbed me in the back, however it caused me a small cut on the cheek. 'He did not just ruin my face. I glared at him and my eyes glowed like lava, my anger triggering a much darker colour than usual. Spinning my spear, I created a circle of flame and pushed it to the Chitauri, its shrieks filled the air while it burned to ashes. I felt the blood dripping down my cheeks and touched the bruise that stupid ugly bastard left earning a hiss from me. 'I may be immortal, but I can feel the pains just like any normal person,'

"Why did that sound like Y/n", Jin ordered in concern through the earcomms. When did these guys get one? I chuckled and rolled my eyes by hearing his motherly voice. I didn't realize until I heard his voice, how much I missed my boys in all this madness. "That's because it is me Jin" I replied stabbing a Chitauri along with it and started speeding off to where I was supposed to meet Natasha. In the corner of my eyes, I saw a glimpse of green been thrown off into the tower and I knew that Nat's mission was a victory.

"Are you okay?" Namjoon asked and I could hear his fast breathing. I giggled before answering "I'm fine guys, just a bruise".

"She's not dead then what's the problem", Yoongi grumbled and once again I rolled my eyes at his cold personality, he's lucky I love him.

"Are you guys always like this?" Tony asked through the earcomms and I answered, "Yeah Pretty much". I landed on the top of the tower and walked up to where Dr Selvig stood in front of the mighty blue cube, Natasha joining me on my side. 'Talk about perfect timing'

"I might be able to build a fail-safe into the portal device ", he muttered as he started working on it and I could hear the guilt radiating from his words for being one of the reasons for the catastrophe going on.

"So what's the plan", she asked and I pointed at the staff she was holding."That's the plan" I said and she looked at me in confusion but that was cleared by Selvig as he spoke, "The portal's powered by the tesseract so it can be closed with something of the same energy". He explained and Nat nodded in understanding.
