Chapter 24

"The place is called "Aquila", a very famous beach resort in Jeju, South Korea."

You and Jin glanced at each other in surprise. South Korea's your actual home, your native place where you all met and got together before moving to the states. Even though it was your motherland, it held deep scares and misery more than happiness and good memories. One of the main reasons to move out was you yourself and boy were you glad. 

Now, you had to go back and you knew that this Korea would be completely different from your real one and, you have moved on from your past but you can't still help but feel a bit uncomfortable.

But you knew you couldn't let that get to you. You were a dark warrior and an Avenger now and you weren't going to allow your past to decide who you are and what you do with your life, and you didn't want to disappoint anyone, especially the boys who worked so hard to bring you out of the shell you had built once upon a time.

"So when do we start?", You asked looking at Steve and Tony who glanced at each other before turning to you. "As soon as possible", Steve started before being but by Tony, "What Spandex means is now as in your flight leaves at 2 in the afternoon", he shrugged earing another eye-roll from Steve who, as always was ignored by the genius. You checked your watch and noticed you barely had 3 hours to do whatever you had to do.

Tony took his Stark-Pad and taped on it a few times before a hologram of you and Jin appeared in front of you. What caught your attention was the profile details given under the pictures and maybe your different hair colors which you have no idea how or where Tony got it from. 

"Guys, meet Mr. and Mrs. Park, a newlywed couple who is going to Jeju Island to enjoy their romantic honeymoon trip for 2 weeks", Tony stated dramatically while you were still trying to process the information. 

You and Jin, a couple? You looked at Jin who was staring at you blankly and you knew he was thinking the same as you. It's not that you were uncomfortable or anything, it's because you and Jin cannot act like a couple even if you tried especially when most of the time you guys would end up bickering for stupid reasons and Jin's momma behavior was something that cannot be stopped, it just comes when it comes.

"Guys, I know this may be difficult for the both of you but you two are the best ones for this mission.", Steve started, "Listen, hydra's planning something, and they're planning to do it from beneath and from what we have gathered, it is going to most probably be done from underwater so they can take down everything and everyone easily in one go", Steve looked at Jin, "That's why we need you Jin. You're a siren and your powers control water which will be a great help and you Y/n-", he turned to you, "-can control fire which is water's grandest enemy, with both your powers in full swing, we believe you two can take down the base in a jiffy-", Steve said before being cut-off by Tony, "We'll be keeping our eyes on your every move so even if you guys need help, the rest of us will be on standby at all times.", he explained while you and Jin were listening intensely.

"So what do you guys say?", Steve asked glancing at you and Jin. You looked at Jin who nodded and gained one from you in return. Jin turned to the two men who were waiting for the reply, "Okay, let's do this", he said with confidence in being the best actor in the whole universe as he says so himself, but on the other hand you thought otherwise.  

You and Jin made your way back to your floor to get ready in your new disguises. Upon stepping into the living room, you looked around and winced at the mess before looking at Jin. Your eyes widened when you saw the darn flyswatter already in his hands ready to be used in full swing. Jin's face went red and he started breathing heavily. For you, that was the cue to cover your ears and you did so without thinking twice.
