Chapter.22

"Breakfast!"

Jin yelled out and not a minute later a stampede of footsteps can be heard approaching from the hallway where the rooms were. Jin turned to the god who was still sitting on the counter and all this while they surprisingly managed to hold up a suitable conversation without wanting to strangle each other. 

"Come on your highness, you better come get your breakfast fast before they hog the entire thing without. When it comes to food, they're a group of Hyenas", Jin spoke up from the dining table which was near the kitchen and between it and the living room. 

Loki thought he was joking considering the number of pancakes that were stacked up on top of each other and the two jars of maple syrup and what seemed like orange juice but he was proved wrong when he saw eight figures crowding around the table before sitting on the seats around. His eyes nearly widened when he saw that there were barely two or three pancakes left on the plates and the two jars were almost empty. The second thing he learned about these strangers was that they took their hunger seriously. 

"Mr.Loki, Aren't you eating?", Jimin asked, his mouth stuffed with pancakes earning a swat in the head from Jin, "Jimin!!, where are your manners?", he scolded the younger one who shrugged and went back to devouring his meal as if nothing happened. Namjoon, the only one who seemed to be less wildly eating noticing the troubled look on the God's face, placed his cutlery down and turned his attention to Loki.

"Sorry about that, we don't usually have a guest around here, even if we do, it's probably Tony or Clint and they just get what they want just like us.", he smiles sheepishly before gesturing at the vacant seat opposite of him "Please, help yourself. Jin makes some of the best pancakes in the world". Namjoon said with a proud smile and earned eager nods and yesses from around the table.

Jin's smiled and swatted in the air, "Of course I do", he said confidently but the reddish hue rising on his ears said that he was flustered at the sudden appreciation by our leader. Loki stood up from his seat on the counter and hesitantly walked over to the table where the others were eating peacefully. 

When he sat down on the seat between the person Jin mentioned as Jimin and another guy whom he didn't have the privilege of meeting yet, he intended on witnessing horrified or disgusted faces with the fact that a formal villain was seated at their table to dining with them. But to his utter surprise, everyone greeted him with a small smile and went back to gobbling up their food. 

The man sitting beside Loki, the one he didn't know the name of, smiled at him before reaching for the pancakes and placing them on the empty plate in front of Loki. " You might as well take some before these three go for their thirds", he said gesturing at the two sitting beside you and at Jimin before turning his gaze back to Loki with a smile, " I don't think I introduced myself yesterday, I'm Hoseok but call me hope, ".

Loki nodded his head and shook his outstretched hand, "Pleasure meeting you Hope", he said before turning back to the foreign food before slowly taking a bite, the rest of you secretly watching him in anticipation. Loki's eyes widened and looked at Jin, "This is delicious". Jin beamed in pride and that praise was enough for the man to place the remaining pancakes on Loki's plate avoiding the maknaes pouts. "Eat as much as you want", Jin said as you all continued to eat earning a nod of gratitude from the God. 

A few minutes of silence apart from the clanking of the silverware hitting the plates remained until it was broken by Namjoon who had finished eating. "Yesterday some of us were asleep when doing the introduction, so you four", he said looking at you and the other three idiots who stopped halted your face-stuffing relay to look up at the leader simultaneously, like four deer caught in the headlights. Jin and Hobi snorted a laugh, Yoongi has a faint on his face and Namjoon bit his lips to surpass a smile at how funny and cute your four looked at the same time before clearing his throat to continue, "Why don't you introduce yourself to Loki". 

You placed down the cutlery while swallowing what you were eating before turning your attention back to Loki, "Y/n", you stated bluntly earning a nod from him and you nudged Jungkook to go next. "Oh... um, Jungkook", he imitated your gesture gaining a similar one in return. Jimin looked at Loki with a smile, his eyes forming into crescents identical to the moon, "I'm Jimin, nice to meet you", he said, his face turned to the prince sitting beside him. Taehyung gave a boxy smile that lit up the whole room before introducing himself, "Hello, I'm Taehyung, but just Tae will do. Hope you like it here".

Loki was stunned seeing how everyone was treating him. Did he expect everyone to treat him cold and out of place, a burden? Of course, he did. It's not like he desired to be greeted with open arms when he joined the Avengers after nearly destroying their world, but he foresaw an absolute desolate feeling he would have to encounter when he got here. 

Alas!, he was wrong. He did not feel lonely, out of place? maybe a little but who wouldn't, he was new to all of this and he had a lot to learn about Midgard than he thought especially about the young people in front of him. He does remember the words you said on the van last time, "Who told you I'm a mortal?". Usually, he would feel the energy of other powerful beings but he felt nothing with the eight of you, just normal like other Midgardians, no high heat waves,  no foreign energy radiations, nothing. But he knew you guys were anything but normal, he didn't know what or who the eight of you were but he would be more than glad to find out, and since he is going to work with you guys from now on, that task shouldn't be so difficult.

"Mornin Kids!!", an all too familiar voice suddenly broke out from the speakers making everyone startle. Tae nearly choked on his pancakes and Jin's spoon fell into Namjoon's plate making him glance at it then at the older annoyed. "I swear I'm going to put rats under his bed if he doesn't stop scaring me like this.", Jin grumbled while taking the spoon out of Joon's plate not paying attention to the glare the younger was giving. 

"Fire girl and water boy, come to my lab pronto, got a mission for you guys... yay!", Tony fake squealed at the end causing Jungkook to snort and you to groan, Jin didn't seem phased as he continued to eat but faster. Well, there goes your plans for today which were to sleep and eat the whole day, oh well, a girl can dream. Perks of being an Avenger. 

You and Jin stood up after finishing off your breakfast and turned to Namjoon who cleared his throat. "Good luck, and please don't cause any chaos", he pleaded, making you and Jin feel a bit offended. He's not wrong about the two of us being a good duo for causing muddle but still. "Would we ever?", Jin asked smiling but turned it into a smirk when everyone simultaneously groaned a yes. "We'll try", you said cheekily before pulling Jin's hand and dragging him to the hallways where all of the rooms were to get changed. 

"This place should be clean and spotless when I get back or you'll be meeting my old friend, Mr. flyswatter!",  Jin yelled out before making his way to his room while you went to yours. How and when the hell did he get that horrid thing back?

You and Jin were walking through the hallway of Tony's private floor to his lab where he and Bruce mostly spend their free time. To say that this place was luxurious would do no justice, well it is Tony Stark's private floor after all so there is no surprise. 

Jin placed a hand around your shoulder before speaking, "What do you think of Loki?", he asked making you look up at him confused. "What?". 

"No, It's just... if I do remember correctly, you used to adore him so much before, but now you seem to hate his guts and don't tell me it's because of the istfficient quarrels you two had because I know it's not.". He looked at you with a gaze that said 'don't argue when I'm right. " Then Why? Did something happen between the two of you that we don't know about?", he questioned while you looked at him wide-eyed. "N-No!!,". You mentally cursed yourself for shuttering and glanced and Jin who cocked an eyebrow at you, clearly not believing your words. 

He halted his movement and came to stand in front of you blocking your way before folding his arms against his chest and giving you the 'momma bear'. 

"You better start speaking young lady!"
