The Moment I knew i was never safe.

He came back

He was whirring a red and black button up shirt and old blue jeans. My heart raced and the words "Ill protect you" flashed through my mind. I looked back up in to his eyes, thinking that this couldn't be real. "Alexi?" His voice was calming, gentle, and full of hope. Hot tears filled my eyes and slowly slid down my face. "Jack?" I managed to say in a whisper and before I looked up, i felt his strong arms around me. I nuzzled my face in to his chest and listened to his heart beat.
We stayed like this for a long time in silence. "Its been so long." He said in a low voice. "Jack" i said with a little laugh, "Its been 5 and a half years, since we have heard from each other." He pulled away enough to look down at my face and whispered "I know, I know." I looked up At him and quickly looked away. We both pulled away from each other."So... How have you been?" I asked but i wanted to ask something else. "If you want the god honest truth, its been rough and lonely." I looked up at him in shock. "How about you, Lex?" A small smile appeared on my face. When we were kids he called me Lex. "Same for me. As you can see i ran away from home, away from my dad..." Shocked he said "Lex why would you ran away? What happened!?" I looked down at the parts where my skin showed, seeing scars every were i looked and i could tell his eyes followed. "Lex..." He said in a whisper. I started to shake, "My dad put these scars on me, but not all of them, i cut too... I know you think I'm crazy because you know my father as the good man that he once was, but everything changed Jack! My mom and dad fault everyday and in stead of hurting my mom, he hurt me." Tears filled my eyes. "My mom left me and my dad and thats the day i ran away. Im scared to death of my father Jack! He acts like the good man he once was when people are around me or my mom. Jack he has done stuff to me that i never thought would happen." Crying i turn away. From him but i felt his hand on my shoulder and I stopped. "I believe you Lex, come here. Its going to be okay, I'm here now. I wont let him ever hurt you again! I promise!!" He hugged me tight and held me in his arms. I felt so safe! "Lex. Im so sorry that happened to you. My mom and dad are falling apart too."
