The Moment I knew i was never safe.

The sunset was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Me and Jack sat so close together holding hands. The feeling of the one that you love, loves you back is unthinkable. It was worth the wait that we waited for. The night sky was coming in the view with the stars and the moon sparkling is the night sky just makes everything shine.

"Lex, you are the most amazing, beautiful, outstanding, insane, funny, and special girl I have ever met and I want you to stay with me for the rest of my life."

Tears of happiness left my eyes "I love you so much. Jack I will stay with you forever."

Jack wiped my tears away with his thumb.

"Lex, its okay you don't have to cry. Its okay, I promise."

"I know, I know. What do you want to do now?"

"Well lets have some fun. I'll Beat you Again."

"Is that a challenge?"

"Well now it is."

"Your on!!"

I get up and clime down the latter as fast as I can. I run to the Game room and start the game. He will never win now! I can finally beat him!

"Lex! That's not fair!"

"Well you said your the best so Hurry up and win."

"Oh I never said I would lose."

"well I said you will."

We played the game for hours. I won some of the time but only because he let me win. I cant believe I cant even beat him once! UGH it kinda makes me mad that he always wins. Like come on I suck yeah but cant I at lest win once. Its starts to storm when we finally go to our rooms. It thunders and I jump up in bed, scared to look around to see if my dad was there waiting to hurt me. Jack comes running though the door.

"Lex are you okay? What woke you?"

"yeah I'm fine. It was just the thunder, I'm afraid of it. I sounds Like my dad pounding his fist against the doors and walls."

"Hey, it will be okay, he cant hurt you here. Or anywhere when I'm around."

Jack sits on the end of my bed. waiting for me to say something, anything but I don't know what to say or do. It was quiet for most of the time. Until......

"I'll stay on the couch in here so if up wake up again I'll be here. Is that okay?"

"Yeah But its your tree house so you should have the bed."

"No. Your staying in the bed I'll Take the couch."

"Jack I'm All ready getting up so you can have the bed."

Jack Tackles be back on the bed and pins me.

"Lex, I will take the couch. I don't want you to have the couch it would be unfair to the love of my life."

Jack kiss's me on the cheek and go grabs a pillow and a blanket and lays down.

"Sorry you had to come in here Jack."

"Na its nothing much. I'm protective of you, I always have been. I finally get to prove that to you know."

"Jack you didn't need to prove anything to me."

"Yeah. Well good night Lex."

"Good night Jack."

The next morning I Woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon being cooked In the kitchen. I got out of bed and got dressed. I quietly opened the door to snick in to the kitchen. When I got there Jacks back was facing me I slowly creep up behind him.

"Good morning Lex. Did you sleep good?"

"Dang it! Good morning to you too."

I went behind him and kissed him on the cheek and then when over to the chair that I always now sit in.

"I really hope you sleep good Lex,"

"Jack relax, I sleep fine when you can in."

"That's really good to know. How are you feeling?"

"I feel fine and your self?"

"I sleep good, knowing I was there to protect you from anything."
