In His Strong Arms.

I woke up with his arms around me again, I don't know why I love it so much I just do. He kissed my forehead and told me good morning, I said it back. I never really got why people say 'good morning' in stead of 'morning' because what if someone is having a bad morning would it help to say 'good morning'?  Like come on the not complaining or anything I like when people say 'Good morning' to me. Jack let me out of his arms and I went to go change, I got in to the shower and did all that, I got out and got in to a purple tank top and black shorts. I made my way out of the bath room and skulked my way over Jack, put my hands over his eyes and whispered in his ear...

"I'm kinda disappointed you didn't see me coming."

"Well how long are you going to keep sneaking up on me?"

"As long as I'm determined to."

"Well someone is playful to day."

"So how is my loving boyfriend."

"Anxious so see why your asking. What's going on Lex."

"Well I made breakfast today."

"Well lets eat."

After we got done eating I led him to his room and on the bed and turned on his favorite movie. We laid down together and watched it and when it was over he looked at me weird.

"Lex what is all this for."

"UGH, you caught me. I was trying to get you to let me out on my own but I know what your going to say."

"You know why I cant let you out of the house baby, I'm sorry. I just want to keep you saf, I don't want to see you get hurt."

"I know."

I flopped back on to the bed and looked up at the sealing. I just really want to explore that's all, I know what I'm doing so why can't I go? It's just so stupid, I mean come on. I know I should stay with Jack, but I want to go out on my own of a little bit. Okay maybe I ran off the first time but I was mad and I wasn't thinking. Maybe I just need his trust.

"Lex, I don't want anything to happen. Tomorrow we can go to the lake if you want."

"Jack I don't want to go to the lake tomorrow I want to explore."

"Then we can do that, but I'm going with you."

"Ugh, you know what I mean."

"Your not going alone, end of story."

"Your no fair."

"I know you think I'm being unfair, but I just want to protect you."

"Yeah, yeah."

"I miss your smile. You never seem to smile for me now."

"I'm just miss the fresh air and the smell of the grass, with the wind in my hair and the flowers dancing. Running around in the fields with mud under my bare feet and watching the bees and the butterfly's dance flower to flower in there own type of song. Every time I would run away from my dad for the short time was to the fields by my house, I would sing the lullaby my mom uses to sing to me when I was little, I would fall asleep against the big oak tree."

"Looks to me you have some good memories about your self after all."

"Yeah, I guess I do."

"Do you miss your old life?"

"No I never want to go back. I have never been to a real school, my mom would teach me at home. So I don't really know anyone but my neighbor. Her name was Caitlin and the only family that really cared was my younger cousin Ky. I would always hide the truth from them, put on a smile so they would think I was happy and okay. Ky found out last year I haven't seen her since then, and Caitlin stopped talking to me and that's when I started to cut again."

"Well do you miss them?"

"Yes."

"I miss my friends too."

"You should go see them, I'll watch the tree house."

"Baby, I'm not going to leave when you wont have friends."

"I want you to go see them though."

"Fine I'll leave in the morning but for right now."

Jack held himself over me. he kissed my forehead and turned onto his side and flopped on the bed.

"Lex, what do think about us?"

"I think we were made for each, that we found each, that we have been though a lot and we lived together but what I know I would be dead if it wasn't for you being hear."

"Yeah. I wouldn't want you not to be here."

"You are so weird."

"Hey, so are you."

"Yeah, yeah."

We ended up walking to the lake and staying there for a while.... until the down poor of rain. We run throw the rain, splash, and play. BOOM! Thunder and lighting filled the sky, I start to shake and get shivers down my spine. I start to run, run so fast that I couldn't feel my legs all the way to the tree house. I wouldn't stop for anything in the world, I was so scared, for what reason though??? I get into the tree house and sit in the corner of the room, waiting, watching for anything trying to hurt me. Jack... OH MY GOD... What have I done, I just left him out there alone in the cold rain, what kind of person does this!!!!! But I didn't move...  I still sat there watching the door to wait for Jack to come in mad, but he didn't. There was no sigh of him anywhere, I can't sit here anymore. I got up and slowly moved to the door and climbed down. At first I was fast walking but that turned in to a run, I got to the lake but..... he wasn't there. I slowly start to walk back... SMACK! Someone's hand slapped over my mouth and pulled me in to the shadows of the trees, I grabbed the hand and pulled it away.

*Screams* "JACK"

*Whispers*  "I'm right here."

I turn around to see Jacks familiar face and hugged him.

*Whispers* "Lex, keep quiet, look over there."

I slowly turn around to look and my dad was there. Staring down at the water, just to think I was standing in the exact spot a minute ago, he would have got me...   We should leave, like right now. But I looked at his face and saw sadness like he lost everything he ever cared about but it was a trick. I was enraged and ran out to him.

"YOU KNOW YOU DIDN'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ANYTHING."
