After walking down the valley, the Company had finally arrived at Rivendell. It was marvellous. Eili had never seen anything so magnificent in her life. As they approached the entrance to the kingdom, they were surrounded by elves. Lord Elrond and Gandalf sorted things out, and before they knew it, the Company was dining.

Lord Elrond had a delicious feast prepared for them, which included music. To the right of the table Eili was seated at, a lady elf played the harp. She was stunning, but the music she played was even more beautiful. Eili hummed to the melody as she drummed her fingers on the table. Although Eili enjoyed singing and sung rather well, nothing could compare to the harmony the harp player created. The aura was lovely. Calming, soothing, warm.

Eili's gaze moved to another elf, a server. She had long chestnut hair that stopped in slight curls at the waist. Her eyes were bright, but the sun brightened them even further. Her skin was very fair. She wore an off white dress. A piece of fabric was wrapped around her waist, acting as a belt. Eili's head turned to the elf beside her. His hair was dark, and it too was long. He was tall and lean and his light robe draped over his shoulders. His green eyes were soft. Green eyes always fascinated Eili. All eyes fascinated her.

Bilbo's image made its way into her mind. The young dwarf shifted her gaze to him. She had caught herself looking at the hobbit before. His eyes were just... remarkable. Sometimes green, sometimes dark, and sometimes blue. And other times, the colours would mix. When that happened, it reminded Eili of paints that bled into each other. It was exciting. Every glance at his face was like something new. Absolutely remarkable. Nobody else saw it, but she did.

"Verie!"

Kili mightily nudged his sister with his shoulder. 'Verie' was a nickname Eili's brothers had for her. They branched it out from the word reverie, which is a state of being pleasantly lost in ones thoughts. If calling 'Eili' didn't work, Verie would.

"You were daydreaming." Kili said in a quiet voice. "You've been looking dreamily into the distance for at least a half hour... Or should I say looking at someone." He smirked.

"..."

"Ow. OW! Alright, alright, stop hitting me Eili. I was just kidding."

Kili took his fork and began eating again. Eili's leather satchel laid beside her. She opened it to make sure she hadn't forgotten it. And she hadn't. Her sketchbook was still there, tucked to the side. Drawing was one of her favourite pastimes. Maybe I'll sketch something later, she thought. Eili closed the bag and brought it to her side. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that the table to the left was empty. Eili must have been in a deep daydream if she hadn't noticed half the Company leave. Kili stood up. "It's getting late, so I'm going to the room now. You coming?"

She looked to the sky just as the sun began to set. "I'm not that tired. I'll come in a bit."

"Don't stay up too late," He said as he rustled her hair, "You need rest."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." She smiled.

With that, Kili turned and began to walk towards the corridor. "Oh, Eili." He turned.

"Yes?"

"Remember when I said I was kidding before?"

"... Yes."

"I lied- Ow OW Alright, I'll lay off." Kili walked off and into the corridor. "For now."
