Dottie was eating some ice cream. However, some of it was starting to melt, and some of it fell onto her jeans. Fact was, her jeans had just been washed. Her mother noticed what happened.
"Oh dear! You got ice cream stains on your jeans!" she said. "And, I just washed them!
"It's just ice cream, Mom," said Dottie, rolling her eyes.
"You have to wear a different pair of jeans!"
"Just scrub the stain, Mom! Not that hard!"
"I don't like your attitude, Missy!" scolded her mother. "Please switch to another pair of jeans!"
"Whatever," sighed Dottie. Her mother didn't tolerate her attitude. As a result, she got a bar of soap, and washed Dottie's mouth out.
"Mom, stop!" protested Dottie, her mouth being scrubbed.
"Teach you to be all salty!" said her mother. "Now, rinse out!"
Dottie rinsed out all the soap out of her mouth. It wasn't a pleasant taste. But, it was the only way to cleanse her smart mouth.
Dottie sure learned the hard way.
