Chapter 14 - The Stable Boy
" her names moonbeam" someone said and I turned to see a boy with white hair and mint green eyes." She's beautiful" I said and he nodded before holding out his hand" I'm Clef" then he frowned looking at the ground with narrowed eyes" the stable boy"
" what's wrong with being the stable boy"
" I'm actually a knight in training but all I do is clean up after horses"
" I'm Luna"
" the girl that's supposed to save us all from a great darkness?"
" I don't want it, its all happening way to fast" I mumbled crossing my arms and he nodded" I know the feeling" from under his shirt he pulled out necklace with blue stone in crested with gold and three blue diamonds." Each apprentice is given a stone from the six elements. Light, water, air, earth, fire and darkness, this is Poseidon's strength, I'll be a knight when the three diamonds glow. My father had this stone and so did my grandfather before him but the truth is I never wanted to be one" he tucked the necklace back in his shirt and I sighed.
" well, I better let you get back to your cleaning, I don't want you to get in trouble" and with that I left the stables.
I went back inside to find a maid waiting for me." His majesty asked me to show you to your room, Miss" I nodded before following her up stairs.
The next few days, I was either in the stables with Clef or having my mother and Victor explain my destiny, and everything. When ever I asked when I could go back, they would just tell me that they were waiting for something but they wouldn't tell me what.
That was until a week later when the castle was attacked. I tried to help but Victor ordered me to be locked in my room and so I watched the fight from my window. I heard footsteps coming toward my door and stood up as the door was kicked in two reveal two cloaked figures." Are you Luna Faye, the one the prophecy speaks of" one of them asked and I nodded. They looked at each other before the one in front waved his hand. My vision clouded and I fell asleep but the last thing I saw was a pair of dark green eyes that looked almost exactly like mine.
