Lan Qiren look up at Lan Xichen, "What happen if I leave Cloud Recesse? I can't let anything happen to you, Xichen?"

He turn to look at the two disciple kneeling on the floor, "what will happen to the rest of you?"

"Uncle don't worry, we will go into the back of the cold pond cave to hide. Some of our disciple can't enter into the cold pond without a forehead band."

Lan Qiren shook his head no. Lan Xichen know that his uncle won't leave, he went to kneel down on the floor, "Uncle, please this is urgent. You need to think about Cloud Recesse, Uncle! You know that no matter what we need to save the foundation of our Lan clan!"

Lan Qiren understand where Lan Xichen is going, he won't leave so instead he ask Lan Xichen to leave, "Xichen, you should go. I will stay with the rest of our Lan disciple."

Lan Qiren stand up slowly due to his injury. "Listen here, go tell all of the Lan disciple to go outside. We will meet them in front of the cold cave!"

Lan Qiren along with many still alive Lan Disciple is still waiting for the rest to arrive.

The same disciple from inside of Lan Qiren came up to him, "is there anymore people still alive?"

"All of our disciple has been scattered around by Wen Xu and his man. I can't get in contact with any of them. There are still a lot of our disciple still out there. Master Lan, we should get going fast!"

Lan Qiren know that he can't leave anyone behind, "I will wait here until everyone arrive."

"But Master Lan!"

Then a voice from somewhere within their range shouting, "Lan Qiren!"

They all look up ahead to see Wen Xu flew out from the forest in front of them. Lan Qiren went forward to try to take down Wen Xu. But he couldn't, he still injured. As he fight with Wen Xu, all he can do is block while he split out more blood.

"Master Lan!" All of the Lan disciple went running toward Lan Qiren to help keep him from fallen down.

Wen Xu took this chance to attack Lan Qiren. As he went forward to attack Lan Qiren, a string of blue light attack him. Wen Xu see who it is. Wen Xu rush forward trying to attack Lan Wangji, only got push back by Lan Wangji chord assassination.
