Techno POV

Techno looked on in confusion as he watched his little brother run down the hall. Where was he going? Techno attempted to let him go, it was Tommy after all. But he found that there was some nagging feeling that was begging the pinkette to go after him.

He glanced towards Wilbur, exchanging a look. Wilbur shrugged and went back to whatever he had been doing previously.

Techno sighed, deciding to at least make sure Tommy didn't leave the castle grounds. Phil would be furious if he did. He began chasing after Tommy, still trying to process the feelings he felt. Why did he suddenly feel so protective? Why did he suddenly care?

Techno raced out of the castle, barely catching sight of the blonde as he headed into the forest. Where was he going? Techno paused, glancing towards the rising moon, it was going to pitch black out there. That only concerned him more.

He charged through the forest, only stopping to track Tommy. He was thankful that the blonde was easy to track, it made finding him much quicker.

After tracking him for fifteen minutes Techno suddenly heard muffled sobbing. He slowly looked up, surprised to see Tommy in a tree. Since when did he know how to climb?

"Tommy?" he called softly, trying not to spook him.

The blonde looked up with wide eyes. He quickly attempted to wipe away his tears, not that it did anything since they just kept coming. "T-Techno?" he whimpered, as if he were trying to figure out if his brother was actually there or not.

"Yeah, it's me." Techno nodded, unsure of what to really say. "What are you doing out here so late?"

"None of your business." the blonde snapped, muttering, "It's not like you care anyway."

Techno let out a long sigh, truly realizing how awful he had been to the blonde. But he was right to treat him that way, right? After all it was all his fault that it had happened.

"You need to come back, before Dad freaks out." Techno told him calmly, glancing back at the moon that peeked through the trees.

"Like Phil would even notice." Tommy curled in on himself more, burying his face in his lap.

Techno thought for a moment, knowing he couldn't return alone. Even if it meant they were going to get in trouble, he couldn't leave him out here. "Tommy I will drag you from that tree if I have to." he warned, believing every word he said.

"Do it." the blonde dared, a small hint of humor in his eyes.

"Okay." He took a deep breath before leaping onto the tree, making his way up. Tommy's eyes widened, as if he didn't think Techno would actually do it. Techno climbed over to the branch Tommy was sitting on, and sat beside him, allowing his legs to dangle beneath him. "So, you coming?"

"I didn't think you would actually do it." Tommy admitted, looking away.

"Well we do need you for the festival, remember? We're a trio."

Tommy shrugged, slightly leaning into the older. Techno couldn't help but smile when he leaned closer, surprised by how much he liked the feeling. Why did it feel so nice?

"Let's head back before we get in trouble." Techno said, beginning to climb down.

"Do you really care about me?"

Techno froze at the question, glancing at the younger. Did he really think Techno didn't care?

"Yes."

Tommy smiled at the response, climbing down after him. As soon as he reached the ground, a playful look sparked in his eye. "Race you back!" he shouted, taking off.

Techno couldn't help but chuckle, a playful grin spreading on his face. He quickly chased after the younger. The joy he felt running after his brother made him wonder.

Was it really Tommy's fault that it had happened?
