Luke and Michael

Michael's phone echoes the ringing while on speaker as him and Luke sit on the couch together. Luke chews his pen as they wait nervously for an answer. Just when they think the call is about to end, the recipient answers.

"Hey Mike," JD says.

"Hey, man," Michael replies, "We're just calling to see if you found out any more information."

"Is there a reversal if someone is in a Fledgling state?" Luke asks directly, not wanting to beat around the bush.

"Hi, Luke," JD says, "I did do some research in the past two weeks, yes."

"Okay what is that?"

"I don't know how accurate it is," JD hesitates.

"You weren't wrong about the sun being a threat, so we are willing to hear all we can," Mikey states.

"Wait, what do you mean?" JD asks confused.

"Sunlight hurts them," Michael explains.

"How do you know that?" JD continues, still confused.

"I tackled one into the sun and it burned her," Luke shares.

"WHAT!? You killed an actual Vampyre?" JD shouts.

"No, I didn't kill her," Luke shakes his head.

"A Vampyress!? What?!" JD exclaims, "How?"

"Oh, um, they came to our house," Luke tells him.

"Apparently, Ashton is a Fledgling but he's not supposed to be because they need permission to make a new Vamp. So they ran away from their Coven with him," Michael recounts.

"But we didn't know that, so we attacked them when they got inside," Luke adds.

"Yeah, I attacked Roni with my Katana and Luke tackled Claire into the sun."

"It wasn't direct light?" JD asks shocked.

"No, it was coming through the window," Michael clarifies.

"Wild," JD gasps, "And what happened to the one you attacked Mike? Roni, you said her name was?"

"Oh I cut her and that was all, they're very fast," he says.

"She kicked his ass," Luke laughs.

"Makes sense," JD laughs back. "Where are they now?"

"Upstairs," Luke answers.

"They're in your house?" JD huffs, mind blown.

"Yeah, Claire has been with Ashton this whole time. She's terribly worried about him," Michael says.

"The Vampyress?"

"Well, yeah. Her Elder's will kill them if they find out," Luke says.

"Then why doesn't she just kill him to protect herself?" JD says simply.

"WHOA!" Luke calls out, "We don't want that!"

"I'm just sayin-" JD starts.

"She's not like that," Michael says, "She loves him I think."

"Loves?" JD asks confused.

"They have the Bond thing," Luke mumbles, looking at his notes he recorded all night as Veronica and Calum filled them in and spoke to each other. "You even mentioned it."

"A Blood Bond?" JD gasps again, "Those are so rare. That's incredible."

"How do we break it?" Luke asks.
