Ashton, Calum, Claire and Veronica

"Stop that," Claire giggles as Ashton kisses her legs that dangle in the pool.

His giggle rings out before he submerges under the water, sinking down to the bottom just to shoot back up and shake his head. He sends thick sprays of water in all directions, making Claire put out her hands and giggle with him. Ashton watches her in awe, her pale white skin glowing in the sunlight as he transports two weeks back to the next day after returning him to human.

His eyes fluttered open to his bedroom ceiling, his body aching and head pounding. He inhaled deeply, allowing the air to feel his lungs as a small smile of relief curled on his lips. He was human again and his blood saved the Vampyress's. His life could be normal again.

His body became aware of the cool one draped over him as he wondered what time it was, trying to guess by the sunlight in his room. Sunlight! His heart and lungs seized at the brightness in his room before his head snapped to the open curtains on his window. Panicked he jerked up to check on Claire, causing her to stir.

He gawked at her as she hummed and readjusted on his chest, a streak of pure sunlight grazing right over her exposed arm. His fingertips brushed over her skin, finding it warmed by the sun, but undamaged. His eyes followed along the beam to her exposed hip, where his band t-shirt she wore rode up during their rest.

He leaned forward to touch her skin there too, again finding it warm but unbothered. Claire moaned at his touch, awakening with a stretch before he stared at her in awe. Her eyes blinked open and stared at him, taking in his perplexed expression before her brows pushed together.

"What is it?" she exhaled, reaching up to his face before he grabbed her arm, willing her to see the sun on her flesh.

Her eyes looked down, taking a moment before she gasped, touching the warmth on her arm, speechless. She lifted her palms, shaking as she moved them into the sunlight. Her breath caught as tears instantly fell from her cheeks and her fingers dragged over her palms to feel the warmth collected.

He loves seeing her now, looking so beautiful under the sun, turning her skin to his temperature. She notices his look and shakes her head, loving him looking at her like that ever since they discovered all their new changes. Although still immortal and dependent on blood for survival, her and Veronica are no longer tied to the Moon or a Sire, in fact they use that time to sleep, becoming tired unlike before. Hunger no longer controls their throbbing fangs, which have reduced in size. And similar to a Fledgling, some foods do replenish them, as long as blood is added for digestion.

"Cannon ball," Calum shouts, splashing into the pool next to Ashton as Veronica jumps in after.

Claire laughs as water rains down on her and she watches her friend of centuries giggle like a modern day teenager. She smiles lovingly at her, adoring this new youthful version of her most favorite person. Veronica catches her smiling and swims over to her, crawling out to sit with her.

"What are you doing?" she chuckles, shoving her shoulder into Claire's.

"Enjoying this new life with my best friend," Claire responds wrapping her arm around Veronica.

"Oh no," Calum chuckles as the guys approach, "Claire is gonna cry again."

"Shut up," Claire kicks water at him as they all laugh, even her.

"You can cry if you want," Ashton smirks at her, "I'll gladly whisk you up to bed for some cheering up."

"Ugh, stop it," Calum splashes Ashton.

"Like you guys don't do it all the time too," Ashton splashes back.

"Yeah," Calum smiles salaciously as Veronica, making her bite her lip and laugh.

"Yep! Let's do it right now!" she squeals as she jumps back into the pool and Calum's arms.

Calum kisses her as he twirls her in the water before they start giggling, making Claire and Ashton laugh at them. Ashton moves back to Claire, tickling her feet in the water before resting his forearms on her knees to rest his chin and stare up at her. She smiles at him, combing her fingers through his wet hair before she adjusts her sunglasses and tilts her head back, beaming as she absorbs the Daylight .
