"What the- "Ji-Ae attempted to voice out, but her words were mercilessly interrupted by something- or rather someone hopping into her embrace.

Several pitch-black hair strands concealed the half goddess' vision, and she hastily took a few steps back, puzzlement evident on her face as she examined the said person with an unmatched reluctance.

"My bad, did I startle you?" The girl half-giggled, her mellifluous voice resonating through the place as she let go of Ji-Ae, allowing her to take a better look at who she was talking to.

"Who are you?" Ji-Ae questioned, confusion still hinting in her tone as she took the profession of observing the nymph that was now leaning against the counter, a winsome smile adorning her crimson lips as she stared at Ji-Ae right back.

"Chaeyoung, the coolest underground nymph you'll ever meet, Mark's beloved girlfriend, this dude's only female friend, and-"

"I think she gets it, Chae." Donghyuck mumbled, loud enough for everyone to hear, which earned him a light neck slap from the nymph.

Ji-Ae's inquisitive eyes fell to his face, and she internally gasped.

He was smiling.

He was genuinely smiling, the guy who had successfully maintained a stern expression throughout all the time they had known each other was being sympathetic with someone right before her eyes.

His cold, terrifying demeanor melting into a sweet-friendly one in an instant, and she couldn't help but wonder how much more she didn't know about him.
