"How is it going, Jefferey?" Ji Ae said as soon as her thumb brushed against the glassy surface of her phone, answering her father's call with a mischievous smirk plastered on her face.

"It's dad for you, Ji Ae," he answered in a desperate tone, followed by the echoes of a man giggles in the background.

"Where are you?" He continued, ruffling his hair in frustration as he peered at the small creature lying next to him, unconscious and breathing hitched.

"Obviously, not at home."

"No, really, Ji, I need you to buy something for me."

"What is it?" She scrunched her nose, annoyed at the fact that she had to make one more unnecessary trip.

"I need bandage and hand sanitizer." He said, a hint of perplexity hanging in his speech, which- fortunately for him, went unnoticed by his beloved child.

"Why? Are you going to perform surgery on a fruit or something at home?" She chuckled.

"Ji."
"Okay, fine, I'll get them right now." She rolled her eyes as a pout built up on her face.
"Thanks."

She grabbed a velvet scrunchie from her leather jacket's pocket and twirled it several times around her platinum hair, hand movements so sharp and precise it almost looked like she was casting a spell, and a messy ponytail quickly came to life.

Her azure globes danced between the individuals flooding the area as she walked down the road leading to the Pharmacy.

"Mother's day, huh?" She gulped, goosebumps paving their way on her pale skin as she thought about motherhood.

The extra presence of flower bouquets in the embrace of middle-aged women and over-excited children was an irritating imagery to the young divinity, mother's day being the second thing she despised the most after her mother.

"Mothers don't deserve anything, not even a day for them, if I ever meet mine, the only thing I'm offering her is a punch."
