"Huh?" she mindlessly huffed, eyes hurriedly falling to her shoes as she felt Donghyuck's tenacious, weighted stare on her, tensing up the more he stared her down.

The silverish glint in his irises electrifying every single parcel of the room with every slight eye-movement.
Her figure was not an exception.

"Yeah, I'm good."

In the frenzy of a fortuitous frustration, she ran her fingers through her hair, only for them to stop halfway, and she suddenly remembered she had braids on.

That was embarrassing.

She mentally slapped herself, eyebrows furrowed as she bit on her lower lip, glancing around to see who witnessed that very unfortunate event, only to find out everyone did.

"So..." Chaeyoung started, her lips stretching into an even ampler grin Ji-Ae found extremely adorable as she locked her arms with Ji-Ae's, her pitch black freckles shimmering as the sunrays generously collapsed onto them. "Do you want to meet everyone else?"

"Who?" the half goddess mumbled under her breath, but most of her attention was captivated by the two miniature lotus ponds that served as Chaeyoung's eyes, finding uttermost euphoria and exquisite mirth in them, and she wondered how could anyone take their eyes off hers.

"People like us."

Ji-Ae utterly believed things were going a little too fast as let herself be dragged by the over enthusiastic nymph who- to Ji-Ae's pure delight- did not possess the ability to keep her mouth shut in a questionable-looking flight of stairs.

I mean, it has only been a day since she discovered she was racially mixed- if you consider gods as a race- yet she was now surrounded by people who looked nothing like humans in a place that looked nothing like a normal building.

Nonetheless, the exciting feeling of renaissance and the existence of a whole other world she was not aware of until now fascinated her to the edge, being a worshiper of thrilling sensations herself she could only decide to go along with it.
