The fresh nightly breeze delicately blew past his bruised face as he walked down his favorite alley, hands enclosed in his pockets, humming a melody unfamiliar to his lips, wondering where he picked it up from.
His sharp, apathetic argent irises toured the surroundings, seeking any slight movement, potential danger, but it was for entertainment purposes only.
Nothing is a danger to the mighty god of war.
Rays of moonlight cascaded on his face, illuminating his injured yet unexpectedly relaxed honey features.
The air gently brushed against his frame, tingling his wounds, it procuring a sensation of a bittersweet satisfaction to the young divinity.
It was in moments like this Lee Donghyuck would ever feel serenity, and he made sure to treasure each second of it dearly.
Nevertheless, his moment of tranquillity did not last any longer as a feeble wincing noise reached his ears, signaling an individual in distress was very near.
"Who even cries in the middle of an empty road," he grimaced, blowing on his bangs as he unconsciously strolled his way to it.
"Love?" He exclaimed, eyes widening at the sight of the girl in such a miserable state.
"You good?" He added, crouching down to her level upon receiving no answer.
His hand found its way to her chin, thumb grazing the glitter away as he lifted it with an excessive delicateness, and that's when the realization struck him.
She knows.
"Oh," He awkwardly whispered, eyes avoiding hers. "You finally realized, huh?"
"War," she hiccuped through her muffled cries. "Y-your eyes."
"We halfies have them silver." the Demi-god stated, attentively observing her argent irises that bored into his similar ones.
Her eyes look even more enthralling in this color.
"You knew?"
"Of course I did."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Enough questions for today, Love." he abruptly stood up.
"Huh?"
"You're tired, let's take you home." He replied, throwing the astonished goddess over his shoulders. "We'll discuss this tomorrow."
"Alright..." She nodded, burying her face in her hands.
"What's your address?"
She smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder as she pronounced the coordinates of an address that was undoubtedly not hers.
