"Dad, you'll never guess what h-, dad?" Ji Ae clasped the door open and her eyes immediately landed on the man who took shelter in the corner of the living room, head lowered as he fanatically crumbled a piece of paper.

"Are you alright?" She added, scooting closer to her father, her face gradually adopting a concerned expression with every step.

"I need to tell you something." He said, checking out his daughter's face with a stoic expression, noticing her glowing silver eyes in the process, and a gasp instantly fled the confines of his mouth.

"That's funny because I need to tell you something too."

"It's about your mom."

"Oh... Did she die or something?"

"I hope she did. "The young divinity scoffed, but the sudden acceleration of her heartbeat betrayed her mocking speech.

"This may sound completely insane to you, and I don't expect you to believe me right away, but your mom is a goddess."

"Hell yes, she is a goddess," Ji-Ae burst out in a series of hysterical, exaggerated laughter." Goddess of leaving her loving husband and only child for god knows what."

"Jung Ji-Ae, look at your face in the mirror," Jaehyun ordered, his voice slipping into an alarming tone, startling the girl. "Right now."

"What's wrong with my-"

"What the hell is this." Ji-Ae gasped, looking at her reflection on the glass, or more precisely, at her irises that scintillated in a mesmerizing shade of silver, finding them very unfamiliar, foreign.

"Upon turning 19 years old, half gods and goddesses' eyes turn silver permanently" Jaehyun gulped, his head now resting on the wall, eyes shut as he sought some kind of comfort, apprehending what's coming.

"What the hell are you talking about? There's no way this is real." She yelped, frustration hinting in her speech.

"It isn't, gods don't even exist and there's probably something wrong with my eyes"Ji-Ae feigned a laugh, staring at Jaehyun, whose expression hasn't changed a bit since she first entered the house."It isn't, right, dad?"

The lack of answer only fueled the Demi-goddess' exasperation, and tears began to accumulate in the corner of the eyes she now resented with a flaming passion.

"Say something for god's sake!"

The salty liquid finally broke free from its extent, and the tears rolled down her flushed cheeks, but something felt wrong.

her fingertips delicately grazed the wet skin, and it was in sheer horror that the half-goddess spotted a handful of argent-tinted glitter on them.
