JAY

Jay wondered how he ended up in the hot seat. He knew he should've brought Jungwon instead of Jake and Sunghoon.

"No excitement?! I thought you like her?!" Sunghoon exaggerates, looking at him in disbelief.

He rolled his eyes. "That's not what I mean! With Yuri, rather than excitement, it's more like the feeling of going home after a long day or how the sun feels in the morning. With her, everything feel so serene."

Just staring at her brought tranquility to his troubled mind. Some would say he's exaggerating his feelings but that wasn't the case. Even the words he used weren't enough to fathom how he really feels. Romantic books were right when they say some feelings can never be explained by mere words. It was similar to the concept of knowing an answer yet being unable to explain it.

With Jia, he vividly recalled the feeling of butterflies in his stomach whenever they were together. Those comforting moments they shared and the bond they created, he cherished it. But he knew the best that it was nothing compared to Yuri.

Sunghoon and Jake looked at each other as if they finally got the answer they've been desperately looking for. "Dude, you're down deep." Jake said. "So you really do like her. Much more than you ever did with Jia. When do you plan to confess?"

Jay shrugged followed with a sigh. "Right now I'm still afraid of taking the risk. I still want to get to know her more and I'm not really sure how she feels about me."

"Take as much time as you please. And who knows? She might have realized already because of how you treat her." Sunghoon said, patting him in the shoulder.

"What? Are you saying there's a possibility she saw right through me?" Jay suddenly panics. He hasn't seen for two days because she's been so busy with her requirements but after what Sunghoon said, he couldn't help but overthink the situation. "What if she's avoiding me now because she found out?!"

Jake burst out laughing. "Oh it's always funny watching your friends become fools because of the person they like. We really have a lot of requirements to pass so don't overthink the situation. I can clarify she isn't making any excuses. We should get going now, the sun is about to set."

They all stood up to make their way out of the coffee shop. They went to the mall that day to buy his birthday gift for Yuri, he originally wanted to ask Jungwon but since Jake and Sunghoon asked him to pick them up he just brought them along. Sunghoon, being the only person who really knew about his feelings for Yuri, teased him by saying he saw her shopping earlier while they were walking.

They stopped by a coffee shop for refreshments but all of a sudden, Jay ended up getting interviewed by Jake and Sunghoon to confirm his real feelings for Yuri. Now two people knows about his feelings for her.

By the end of the day, when Jake and Sunghoon were out of his car, he decided to ring Yuri's number to check up on her. It has been two days since he last seen her, he just wanted to make sure if she's okay and has not succumbed to whatever school works her professors gave her. But to his surprise, she didn't answer. He tried again but when she didn't answer again, he stopped attempting.

"She must be busy." He concluded.

The next day, Jay walked with Jake towards the law building. "So you've been using me as an excuse to see her for a month? Wow." Jake says the moment he realized why he has been seeing Jay way too often near his building. "Oh there's Yuri." Jake pointed at Yuri who was walking like a zombie. "Is she okay?"
