JAY

"Jay, open your door. Come on, we brought you ice cream. You have to get out of your apartment every now and then." Jay could hear Sunoo's voice from behind the door. "Jungwon, you knock! He'll answer if it's you."

Jay sighed, forcing himself to stand up to open the door for his friends who kept knocking on his door. He twisted the doorknob and faced all of them that stood there. They all smiled at him but Jay couldn't bring himself to smile back. Ever since what happened with Yuri, Jay lost track of everything. He was thankful it was already summer break otherwise his studies would've been greatly affected.

He never stopped trying to apologize to her but she refused to face him. Right now he felt so drained that he just wanted to lay on his bed and ponder as to how they ended up like this. His friends has been trying to reach him the moment they learned about what happened between him and Yuri.

"You look like a mess! Get yourself together, Jay!" Jake scolds him.

Jay groaned and returned to his bed, leaving them all in the living room. The only thing that could fix him at that moment was Yuri but he knew she herself is going through some things. Everyone entered his bedroom and they all crossed their arms as they stared at Jay who was busy cuddling with his pillow. They were present during the times Jay was grieving because Jia left for another country, but it was their first time seeing him so depressed that he would refuse to talk to any of them.

"Come on, get up! Are you really going to stay here in your bedroom for the rest of the summer?" Jungwon says, attempting to pull him away from his bed but he failed.

Jay groans. "Just talk to me if you ever see Yuri." He managed to say to everyone before wrapping the comforter around his body again.

Everyone looked at each other, all worried for their friend's well-being. "Sunwoo wanted me to tell you she's at her family home and she's not doing fine." Jake said, delivering the message to him.

"She clearly likes you back, the two of you need to get a hold of each other." Sunghoon frustratingly says.

"It's a lot more complicated okay?" Jay argues. "There are just some things that aren't clear to the both of us." He explains. It wasn't clear to him what she meant when she said she was tired of feeling like a replacement. Just thinking about how much she suffered, it never failed to make his heart clench. "You guys can stay here just let me sleep for a while. I'm so tired."

Everyone sighed. "Call for us if you need anything, we'll be in your living room waiting for you." Heeseung pats him in the back before they all left the room.

He stared at his phone and he immediately got a notification that reminded him Yuri's birthday was two days from now. He turned off his phone and placed it on the bedside table. His eyes fell to the gift he was supposed to give her for her birthday. Now he wasn't even sure if he would ever have the chance to give it to her.

"I miss her." He mumbles.

Letting out a sigh, he stands up to eat the ice cream his friends bought for him. He sat on the couch with his friends while he ate the ice cream quietly. But he couldn't help but be bothered because of the stares his friends were giving him.

"I'm fine, stop staring at me." He said, assuring them. "Where's Sunghoon?" He asked the moment he realized only six people were present in the living room.

"He went out to buy food for us." Ni-ki explained. "We can text him if you want to add anything." He offered but Jay shook his head, rejecting his offer.
