"Yuri! Yuri!"

Yuri glared at her annoying older sister. "What?"

"You're spacing out again, at this rate you're going to over-mix the cake batter." Dayeon shrugs returning to what she was doing. "What are you thinking about? Are you perhaps thinking about a boy?"

"What—"

"You know that's not allowed Yuri, You're only 12!  You shouldn't be thinking about boys." Dayeon was quick to scold her about that topic.

Yuri frowned. "I'm not! I'm just wondering if mom and dad will like this cake we're making for them." She said while mixing the cake batter.

"Is that so? You don't have to worry. Mom and dad wouldn't admit it if we made them a horrible cake." Dayeon jokes.

"Dayeon." She called for her sister. Her sister raised her eyebrow as she looked at Yuri. "Do you know anything about love?"

Her expression grew even more confused. "Hm? Why are you curious?"

"I've seen how dad looks at mom. I was just wondering if you have any idea what kind of love they feel for each other." Yuri asked, oblivious.

"Mom explained love to me once. She said the love she feels for dad is like the sky. It can be both beautiful and chaotic because love is never always perfect and that is what makes it specially great. And the more you love someone, the more it will eventually hurt." Dayeon explains it to her oblivious sister.

"So that kind of love will eventually hurt us in the end?" Yuri frowns.

She laughed. "There's no kind of love that will not eventually hurt us but mom always said, it is the most beautiful thing one could experience especially if it's with that special person. You'll understand it a bit more once you've met that special person. But we don't have time for that, you have to study hard to pass your exams while I have to study hard to become a lawyer."

"Once I become a lawyer, I'll save more kids who had to experience the same childhood as you Yuri. So they can finally have a family and a great sister like me."

Yuri smiled remembering that day when she and Dayeon baked a cake for their parents wedding anniversary. She placed the flowers on the ground and looked at the picture of her sister. "How are you Dayeon? Sorry if I haven't been visiting as much as I used to. I was busy with a trial."

She was now a lawyer. All her hard work had finally paid off and she has finally achieved her dream. She remembered crying to Jay on her last year in law school about how tiring it was but thanks to his encouragement, she persevered and now she's making a name for herself in the field of law.

"I saved a child earlier from his abusive father. I won the case Dayeon, I did it. After the trial, he and his mother thanked me for freeing him and the kid even said he wanted to be like me in the future." She said, slightly chuckling. "I'm sure you're proud of me wherever you are."

"I understand now what mom meant when she told you about love. And as you said, there is no kind of love that will not eventually hurt us but you were also right when you said it's the most beautiful thing anyone could experience. That's because I finally found my special someone." She continues speaking. "I wished you were able to meet Jay. He's an amazing person! Actually, we're celebrating our fifth anniversary tomorrow. Can you believe we've been together for that long?"
