Jay was about to lose his mind.
Aside from the fact Yuri was completely ignoring him, there was also his mother that kept telling him to take the apartment that his father was offering him.
"What did you do anyway? Why is Yuri angry at you?" Jungwon asked him, wondering what caused this in the first place.
It was actually him who was angry at her at first because she was ten minutes late in their last date. It was supposed to be a joke but he found himself enjoying the attention he was getting from her, especially since she's been so busy in her first year at law school. The past day, he was at Yuri's place to bring her coffee and when she left for a second to go to the bathroom, he had accidentally spilled coffee on the paper due that day.
Of course Yuri was furious with him.
Jungwon couldn't help but laugh after hearing what happened. "Oh how the tables have turned. So she isn't talking to you at all?"
Jay nods. "And I was just about to talk to her about moving in with me."
Two years seemed like enough of a time to take the risk. They were both adults and if Jay was going to be honest, he was getting tired of going home to his empty apartment. Just imagining going home to her made him excited and happy.
That is if Yuri ever talks to him again.
"I'm sure she'll forgive you, how about you surprise her today?" Jungwon suggested as if Jay hadn't thought of that already. "You're already planning to, aren't you?"
Jay guiltily nods whilst Jungwon pats his friend's shoulder. "You can do it, it's not like you're proposing."
Yeah it wasn't like he was asking her hand for marriage.
After that Jay bought about fifty roses for her. It was actually supposed to be a hundred but he didn't have enough space in his car plus he didn't want to overwhelm her with a bunch of flowers. He cancelled all his plans that day and decided to cook for her. Yuri never forgets to tell him that she will always prefer his cooking rather than the fancy restaurants he used to bring her to.
Yuri usually goes home by dusk so he had enough time to make himself a script of how he would ask her to move in.
Midway his rehearsal, his mother called. Pressing answer, he placed his phone on his ear.
"Hey mom." Jay greets her. "Did you need anything?"
"Oh I'm just here to remind you about the apartment again. I visited earlier with your father and it was very big, enough space for you and if ever you're planning to live with Yuri." She says, enthusiastically as if she really wanted the couple to live together. "Your father sent you the details right? It doesn't seem like an awful deal."
It was actually a great deal. There were only two things left for him to do, check the place and give his answer. He didn't want to check the place yet because he wanted to do that with Yuri— if she says yes.
"I'm still planning on asking Yuri. I want to get her opinion first." Jay answered. "I'm actually going to talk to her today."
"Is that so?" He could almost hear the smile on her voice. "Well I best leave you to prepare! I hope she says yes! I can't wait. Good luck son!"
