"Wa'alaiki Salam, how are you doing the absolute love of my life?"
"I'm fine, how about you?"
"I've never been this fine my whole life."
"Really,"
"Yes."
They continued chatting like lovers do, they talked for hours, like they won't be able to meet the next day, ended up debating on who to hang up first.
***
It was hard making up for the picnic, she was trying to have it flawless, as she wanted to look to impress.
She wore a palazzo and a kimono, which has a combination of yello, red and black in large cube boxes drawn on the fabric, she wore a white inner, and a perfect black covered shoe.
She tied a black turban, and hung her black pouch by her left arm. As she watched herself in the mirror beauty was an understatement, she looked like she woke up like that, as she had used fenty beauty cosmetics all through, and each one of it was used in it's right place and right quantity, not like she was a pro pro makeup artist, but YouTube videos had helped a lot in her makeup sense.
Her red lippie was strikingly hot, loveable, kissable, a lot of ables...
She was ready on time, her phone rang as the clock hits three, he was outside waiting.
She took one last look at herself, heaved a sigh to help calm her nerves, and then she walked to her Mum for the last permission.
"Mummy I'm done."
Her Mum's jaw dropped at the sight of this heavenly beautiful woman.
"How do I look momma?"
"Perfect, this one look will send someone's son into frenzy."
"Hahaha." They laughed in chorus!
"I bet you mama." Zayba said with the widest grin ever.
"Perfect is just the right word for the whole of you." Mama added.
She giggled and hugged her momma "thanks Mum, see you in a few hours."
"Come home soon, I don't want to miss you too much."
"Yes mama." she spoke out loud as she cat walked to him.
She walked majestically like she own the house and straight to the car, a small knock on the door and he was out jaw dropping, his jaw practically sweept the floor.
"Hello." She waved her hands at his frozen face to bring him back.
But he was lost, deep in thought, his jaw still dropped, she was still smiling when his mouth begun to flow like a fountain, he was drooling in broad day light! The liquid was dripping in slow motion and eww he didn't even know it was happening.
"Hello? Is this the first time you're meeting an angel on earth."
He was still there like a stature, she waved her hands up and down his face so his eyes could detect something, but he was lost , totally lost.
She moved closer to him, a five centimeters type of close, where her breath met his, she smiled again and whispered to his ears,
" your watering hole works like an electric fountain mister, I wonder what's helping with the current."
And snap he came to reality,
"I'm I'm sorry." he stammered as he pulls his handkerchief from his pocket to wipe off his lips.
"Boy, you've been dripping wet from that hole." she faked an American accent. And they both laughed.
"Babe, you look amazing, I mean yes, you're just an angel on earth, the very first I've met."
"Awwn that's cute. Okay we're running late, let's go already."
"Okay. Nothing seems to impress you, not even a thank you."
"My bad, thank you mi amor."
"Better."
"So are you ready, we have a basket, a mat, and some little chops, a few bottle of water, I ordered them, so picnic here we go?" She continued talking in her euphonious voice.
"Of course yes."
"Are you ready to drive a little too fast and far away from home?" He asked with that undying smile of his.
"No way, are you kidnapping me?" She shrieked jokingly.
"I guess I've done that." He said. As they both laughed .
She fastened her seat belt Breathing heavily and she said "I'm so ready for this."
"That's my girl!"
They drove a hundred kilometer per hour, to around Jos road and stopped at Fifth chukker resort, kaduna metropolis, that's quite far from home.
"You didn't tell me we were going hiking?" He asked as she points for him to stop.
"That's because we're not."
"I think we're." He snapped pressing his lips together.
"Just wait for it." She arched an eyebrow as she spoke.
He took all they needed for the picnic from his car trunk, the beautiful white Venza, and all she did was hopped and walked down the grasses until she got to a shady spot, under a neem tree. The weather was breezy, cold and it was exactly what she had needed for the time being.
They ate, took goofy pictures, they sang karaoke to several naija jams , Rotimi's in my bed, jaywills's medicine, burna boy's question , and a whole lot.
At first she was a bit shy, and the thought of wanting them to click with immediate effect made her free her wings to the atmosphere.
She watched as he looked even better when he smiled, he was just happy, even his eyes smiled.
Awwwn!
