"The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them."
-Ernest HemingwayZayba got all decked up in her cote dé voir atampa that was embroidered with shimmering stones and a beautifully placed design by the neck that was made in Zaria.
She came out to the leaving room to acknowledge the presence of her Mama and other relatives as day came into the house.
"Sannun ku da zuwa, welcome, welcome everyone."
She said as she held a smile moving form one guest to another.
She walked to her mum and jumped into her warm embrace, "welcome."
"Thank you beautiful, kinyi kyau fa, but I think the foundation is too much or is it my eyes."
Knowing mama who was not a fan of makeup , Zayba pouted her lips before saying "mama it's your eyes, what's important is that I look good."
"Of course you do my dear, go and greet your Aunties over there some of them came from far places just for this event, make sure to squat down when greeting them , I don't want unnecessary talks later."
"Sure mama, let me see them."
Zayba walked majestically to the canopy where they were seated as she greeted them one by one making sure to go down to show some respects.
"Good day Aunty."
"Good day beautiful, where's the baby." One of the Aunty's asked.
"I'll bring her out soon."
"Come with some napkins too please."
"Sure Aunty, I'll ask the waiters to bring some food here do you have anything in mind?"
"Nothing really but send them over here, so we'll inquire about what they have in store."
"I'll do just that."
Zayba walked back to the house and ordered the waiters to take food to the guests.
Hibba wore a beautiful gold atampa in purple and black and came out with baby Ziya in hand as she took her to meet her relatives.
"Ina wunin ku, here's the baby." She greeted.
The baby kept being passed from one relative to another as Hibba was always side by side watching her baby niece and making sure she was with the right people.
Mama instructed Zayba to go change, since the photographer had arrived they should start the photo session.
"Angon karni." Some Aunties from Fuad's side called on him as he stepped into the house.
"Sannun ku fa, barkan ku da zuwa." He smiled and greeted every person that he passed by.
He quickly scaled through the crowd and went straight to Zayba's room.
"Hey babe." He said, he dragged her into his arms from behind as she took her clothes off.
She flinched as her skin met his and smiled while she lingered in there.
"Hey babe, where have you been?" She whispered.
"I've been around, let me help you change." He said.
"Okay baby, husband duties has resumed?"
"I'm always on duty baby, except when you suggest that I rest."
She laughed and said "thank you for always understanding."
"You know it's hard, but I just have to be a man." He said. As he zipped up the golden lace gown she wore.
"I love this dress, you look like a queen in it, so beautiful." He stared closely as if to say he had never seen any woman more beautiful his whole life.
"Awwn thank you, your queen of course." She said as she placed a soft kiss on his cheeks.
"My queen, here's a gift for you." He said as he pulled out a mini box out of nowhere.
"Baby, what's inside?" She asked eagerly.
"You should unwrap it later, when the house is less crowded."
"I will." She said smilingly.
As he dragged her into another embrace for the last time before he left for his room.
"Go get dressed up let's have some pictures, you know memories." She winked.
"You know I don't like pictures, do it for me and the baby."
"Don't blackmail me with that cute face."
" haha, I am not."
"I'll be back right away."
He took off to his room and changed into a shiny black kaftan that had a black design on it too, coupled with a black cap with tiny gold stripes and a black leather shoe branded fendi which he had ordered from jumia a month ago.
The handsome brown skinned man dashed out from the room as he caught every girls attention, every female creature diverted their eyes towards him as he smiled and waved at the people from the living room to the canopy of gossiping women seated outside.
He met his wife with a smile, the kind that will lit up a candle and melt it instantly, it was only by a miracle that she was still standing and managed to smile back at him, it was not by his powers that he was that good looking,
God is the artist of every artist. He designed him as if he gave Fuad the right to select every body feature himself.
He watched as Hibba's eyes popped out and stayed fixed at him, but he didn't even flinch at her expression, her mouth was still forming a letter o when he dragged his wife by her waist, instructed Hibba to pass the baby as they posed for the pictures.
Various groupies were taken and of course the couples made sure they had alot of shots with the baby together, as memories are best remembered in pictures, they wouldn't dare miss that opportunity.
Zayba glowed at every instant, having a man love you that much is quite expensive.
They exchanged pleasantries and accepted every gift, that came in polyethylene bags and boxes, they sent gratitude to every person that gifted them regardless of how little it could be.
A grateful heart never lacks.
Fuad helped her packed the stuff inside, as Hibba queued with him, not forgetting to drop flirty lines on the way.
"I'm not feeling myself today can I feel you instead?" She asked and he didn't even flinch.
Zayba followed behind them with some other items.
"Baby." He exaggerated as he lifted her in a rough embrace as his hands rested under her backside.
"I'm sweaty I'll need a warm bath."
"Of course you should." She said as she slipped herself down and kissed his lips.
"If not that I didn't want to cause trouble down there, we would have shared my bathroom, but go to your room sweetie."
He pouted before saying "I know , I'll be right back to unwrap this gifts with you."
"I'll dress up and wait for you."
"It's already magrib so I'll return after ishai insha Allah."
"See you then." She said as she jokingly swatted his flat ass. He lifted a middle finger and trailed off.
He was shocked to find Hibba resting her ears on the wooden door to probably eavesdrop their conversation or something he doesn't know, frightened as he unknowingly pulled the door open.
"Oh I was bringing some stuff to Zayba."
"Okay." He answered plainly.
She followed him right away.
Why is this one following him?
