"May I have a picture with the groom, please." She asked, she had to be polite.
He heaved a sigh and let out a "sure."
She posed, dirty poses in front of all the people in the house, Fuad only pretended to be a statue.
"That's enough." He terminated the picture session at once, after a few shots.
He wouldn't deny he felt something for her, not like before but he did, and he wouldn't let her invite trouble to his marriage, it was the most special day of his life.
He walked to his room with a scowl, as his train followed him.
It was silence all through, before Musa broke it. "Omo me I dey H oh."
"Me too." the guys answered in unison.
"Call Fatima to get food for you." Fuad said.
Musa that was more hungry, went out to fetch Fatima.
She followed him to the guys room, to know what they wanted to eat in particular.
"Do you want rice or?" She asked.
"What food do you have?" Aj asked.
"We have rice, different types, Jollof, fried, coconut rice, we have amala and ewedu, we have moi moi, we have pounded yam with egusi soup, we have a lot of food, local food and continental , which do you want?"
They all placed their orders, she carefully typed it into her iphone Xmax so she don't forget.
Fatima brought food for them with the aid of her friends, the groomsmen ate , prayed and got ready for dinner.
Each of the groomsmen own a car which ranged from Bugatti, Lexus, BMW, Range rovers, Rolls Royce and many expensive cars, in a convoy they all headed to the bride's, at exactly eight in the night there were all set and ready.
As they all honked their cars so every bridesmaid, family, or anybody that's ready to go should come hop in, Hibba came running with tears on her checks and her hair strands were in standing ovation like the mad woman From down the street, "I can't find her." She spoke while gasping for air, "can't find who?" One of the groomsmen asked.
"Where's the groom?" Hibba Asked, on seeing him, she collapsed.
"Hibba why are you just telling me this?" Wake up!" Hibba!" He sprinkled the remnant of bottle water he was drinking on her face, and she flinched and continued to gasp for air. "Why are you just telling me this." Confused Fuad wouldn't stop asking.
"See if this is one of your jokes, you better stop I'm not in for this." The groomsmen rushed into the house with Hibba. The groom was in a terrifying state, as he sighted mama, he ran quickly to her
"Mama where is my wife?" With tears on mama's cheek "I don't know." Without any hesitation Fuad brought out his car keys and quickly he drove out of the arena in search for his bride, he drove to every place he could think of, her friends where all at her house, then where else would she go to, he thought.
The man didn't know he had tears on his cheeks, "is this some sort of joke or what?" He asked himself as he hit his starring wheel hard. "This can't be happening." "Even if I'll loose her not today, at least not this way." "Or is she dead?" "No she can't be dead."
I won't bare loosing this dime.
Fuad knew he might as well lost his life, if he couldn't find her, he knows life will be too hard to live without Zayba, "she must be alive." He uttered .
He couldn't imagine losing her, he has never imagined that, he didn't know how to feel or react to the situation, the man drove back to the bride's , after making a lot of calls, and has had the police in search for her that night.
He knelt down in front of their mama, with tears, all over his face, mucus from his nose and to his lips, maybe he swallowed a few. Eww!
He begged "mama Dan Allah where is my wife, I swear I'd die if I don't see her." The man was weak and on the verge of having a mental breakdown.
"Mama, what happened to her."
He kept asking questions, but the whole crowd wasn't responding, it was like a nightmare, where people close to you watch you suffer but wouldn't even bulge even if you're being killed.
"Ya Allah is this what you've written for us? " he asked the question to the with his head up the heavens with his prayer hands lifted up.
"Innlillahi wa Inna ilaihi rajiun." He supplicated.
Oh no!
What's is going on here?
