"Wait, wait, wait! How did you see those scenes in the first place?" asked Mark. Lily widened her eyes and said, "I think it was when I said flag on the play. So it rewinded but it rewinded to the start of the play and back to our scene." Kat nodded. "That means everything Kat noticed in the scenes had happened before we started our play? Kat saw the origin of our play!" Cassandra said. Soon after, the kids went to their homes. The next day they had to meet someone very important, who could tell them what had happened on the day of the fall of Vanberg and if it had anything to do with what was happening in the present.
The Next Day...
"OK SO I WANT ALL EYES ON THE PRIZE WHICH IS... MISS LUCY'S NARRATION OF THE STORY. NOW MISS SANDERSON AND MISTER HARRIS, WHAT'S PLAN A?" announced Mark as if he was a captain of a battalion. "Yes Sir! Plan A is we locate Miss Lucy and we know her address! Lane 5A, Maryway Avenue!" Lily replied. "Next is we ask her to narrate that day, after she does, we write everything down and ask her the billion dollar question 'Why are we in this mess?'!" Kat continued. "GOOD JOB FELLOWS, MISS JONES! NARRATE PLAN-"
"Mark, STOP SHOUTING!" Cassandra said annoyed by Mark's childish behaviour.
"Haha! Sorry, I think we should start the journey."
After an hour of travelling from their nearest bus stop to Dison's Bay where Miss Lucy lived, they all went to a cafe close by. "Hello Kids! What would you like from our menu today?" the waiter asked the four who were struggling on what to order with just a budget of 20 bucks. "We would like to have an egg sandwich, a veg breakfast burger, two small strawberry smoothies, one butterscotch milkshake but replace the normal milk for almond, one fruit salad, savoury pancakes with a side of maple syrup, one fudge shake and that should be it!" replied Mark with an astounding long list of items. "Of course, that would be 40 bucks, anything else kids?" the waiter was shocked by the food but kept his cool.
The others however did not like the sound of 40 bucks and thus glared at Mark to change the order. Poor guy just wanted to eat but he then tried to sort the situation out, "Haha! I was kidding we just want two pancake plates, 5 bucks each and two butter- no, I mean, two chocolate milkshakes for 2 bucks each and two small smoothie bowls for 3 bucks each. How much is it?" Mark started fearing the price but the waiter replied, "20 bucks! Cool, I'll get the order as soon as possible." Mark let out a sigh of relief. "Dude- Thats all we had!" Kat said smacking the back of Mark's head. "I don't care, the money was for eating and so we eat." Mark replied in a childish way.
After the light breakfast, the team of 4 separated into 2 groups in search for Miss Lucy's house in Maryway Avenue. The kids had brought a big bag in which they put all their belongings so that they don't get lost. Each group had a cell phone to contact each other and they had their rain coats on, incase of bad weather. Kat and Lily started to search for the house on their part of the Avenue. "What was Miss Lucy's last name? We can search for a name plate, I see almost all houses having one." Asked Lily to her partner. "Miss Lucy Johnson. Search for the Johnson name plates." Kat replied.
"AAHH!" Cassandra screamed from one end of the path. Mark came running, to see what had happened.
"What is it!?"
"THERE WAS A BIG SLUG ON MY SHOE! EWW!"
'I see a huge slug standing infront of me, stupid.' "The slug went, now get yourself together and search for that Johnson namplate!" Mark replied in annoyance. The kids had parted ways to cover all grounds. They found a couple of nameplates but then again the person who answered the door had one reply, "I'm sorry kids, we don't know any Lucy Johnson." It was half past 2 in the afternoon when the groups met at the Common Point to have lunch. .
"Any luck?" Kat asked Mark.
"Ok so, SINCE WHEN DO PEOPLE NAME THEIR CAT'S LUCY JOHNSON AND NOT TIMMY!" Mark broke out furious.
"What- HAHAHAHA!" The others laughed intenseley. A little bit of entertainment was needed in between to keep them alive. "Since we're already having lunch and we don't have much entertainment, Kat, why don't you introduce your brother to us? Anything about him?" Lily asked.
"He doesn't deserve an introduction, he's dead for me and my family. I don't care if I saw him alive."
Ouch...
