"She's misunderstanding us for some media. Approach in another way," Mark whispered.
"Miss Lucy-" Lily started coming near her.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME OR I'LL- I'LL KILL YOU!" She threatened.
"Miss, we are not from any media. We are normal Highschool students and this conversation is entirely private, we swear."
"How do I believe you!?"
"Our ID's," Kat came and showed her their highschool ID's.
"Do you trust us now?" Cassandra asked polietly.
"N-no, what if you're recording with those phones or have spy cameras!"Kat while thinking: Yes we are, we are certified spies who work for the mental hospital, wanna come?
"If we keep our phones, bags and jackets outside this room, will you disclose what you know?" Lily asked, trying to persuade her. She hesitantly nodded as a reply and so they did. They came back inside to hear what Miss Lucy had to offer.
"You can start now," Kat gestured.
"I don't know why I am telling a story I've had nightmares about but I feel you guys are hiding something from me. What is the actual reason behind this discussion?" Lucy asked. The kids looked at each other, shocked on how she knew about it but Cassandra said, "We will tell you after you tell us."
"Deal?"
"Deal!"
"Alright. I was head of the Fine Arts class and Elise, Karter's best friend, was the head of the Drama Class. Our head master, Mister Huston had given us the responsibility to organise the school's first ever Festival. It was an honor and the Art's kids put their all into organising it. The Drama kids made an amazing sketch for the festival and we were given the responsibility to handle all the necessary decorations and props required for the play. One day during lunch, Karter and Elise sat next to me to update on their work. They told me that no one was coming in for the role of the antagonist and that the headmaster himself wanted to play that role. Elise and Karter were really happy but I thought something was fishy."
"You're saying, the headmaster himself wanted to play the role of the antagonist? That's weird." Mark interupted and all of them found their first red flag."It is. Since I was head of the Fine Arts class, I was always present during their rehearsals. It was fascinating to watch. I even remember the story but I'll come to it at the end. The day of the storm, the drama kids had to go to campus for final rehearsals and I was also told to go so that I could finish up on the props required. They started their rehearsals and I started my job. Half an hour into everything our headmaster came to play his part but suddenly we heard thunder nearby. I looked out of the window to see a storm approaching and I warned everyone including the professors who were present to go to the disaster shelter we had outside the main building. The students who were doing the rehearsals, headmaster Huston and the profs didn't reply which was weird. The students who weren't doing rehearsals were Elise, Karter and three other kids. We tried to call the others, shook them, tried to pull them but they just didn't budge. It was as if they were under a spell. We heard a glass breaking in the North tower and thought it was better to take shelter oursleves. We ran downstairs and as we just got to the ground floor, Karter and the others started walking backwards, going upstairs."
"Were they not in their right minds or what? Why do they wanna die?!" Cassandra asked. This was the second red flag for the kids." I tried pulling them but they kept walking backwards. Suddenly Elise and Karter held hands and looked as if they were trying to come out of someone's grasp. I saw black shadows came out of their bodies. I was terrified and Karter and Elise took deep breaths as if they fought a war. They told me, 'Mister Huston is the soul!' I didn't understand what it meant and I didn't even care at that point, I took the two and ran. Before we could reach the shelter, two black shadows had come and entered their bodies and dragged them upstairs. I couldn't do anything and entered the shelter crying. It was about 5 in the evening when I came out of the shelter. I went upstairs to check on everyone but no one was there except for my props. I ran out of the building before the media arrived and made sure no one knew I was there."
Kat: ......... I-
Lily: Wooaahhh!!! Cassandra: What-?
Mark: HOLY SH-
"MISTER HUSTON IS THE SOUL? HE'S THE MEDIUM?" The kids sprang up from their seats.
