"Woah there, tiger on the loose! Dead? You know he is alive, you saw him in the play, then why are you not relieved?" Mark said shocked by Kat's behaviour towards his elder brother.

"Karter Harris, my brother. His only dream was to get into Vanberg High. My brother took care of me whenever he could. It felt as if I had the perfect sibling. I remember the smile on his face when he got accepted into the high school. I was small hence took out the simplest meaning of actions. It was a few months into to the new session when my brother went out early morning for a rehearsal. It was night and he still didn't returned. A few days into the incident, my mother would cry everyday and I thought it was all because of my brother and I still do. My family forgot Karter and I did too. My sister Katrina does not know him and only identifies me as a brother." he said with confidence, not hitching at any word. Kat had so much hate for his own brother. The kids kept their mouths shut for the rest of their lunch and tried not to bring up the topic again.

"Guys, the sun's going to set soon, I think we should do last rounds of searching and take the bus at 7 to go back home." Cassandra said looking at her watch. The kids cleaned up their mess and went to do the last search for Miss Lucy Johnson. Though their chances were close to zero, they still had two hours in their hands and wanted to make the best out of it.

"This is the last house, there are no more Johnson name plates in our area of the Avenue, let's hope for the best." Kat said to Lily as he rung the doorbell. An old lady answered it. "Yes?" She asked the kids. "Hello there! We were looking for Miss Lucy Johnson.  Does she live here?" Kat asked as politely as he could and as he expected she replied, "I don't know any Lucy Johnson in this locality, sorry kids."

Mark and Cassandra too, came back with empty hands. "Cheer up everyone, it isn't the end of the universe. I'm sure we'll track her down soon!" Said Cassandra enthusiastically. None of them had a smile on their face but it was valid. Rehearsals were starting the next day and who knows how many students will be able to believe their lie about the underground set and for how long. The kids went to the nearest cliff, from where they could see the beautiful waves crashing. "What if our worries could just wash away like that, no fears, no depressing thoughts..." Lily said admiring the view. "Not really, the waves crash on this land, breaking it in the long term, if thoughts would wash away, something else would come and hit us, which would be way worse," Kat replied and threw a pebble in the sea.

That is all they could do now, hope. "Alright then, enough sad talks we need to scram. The bus is about to arrive in 20 minutes." Mark said grabbing his bag. Just as Lily got up, she stepped on a piece of mud, she lifted her shoe to see what had happened but then, Whoosh!
Lily lost her balance and skid off of the cliff, "AAHH!" Cassandra was near her and because of her quick reflexes she managed to grab Lily's backpack. "MARK! KAT! QUICK THE BAG'S SLIPPING!" She called out for the boys. Both of them rushed towards their friend.
"WHAT HAP-"
"GRAB HER! ITS SLIPPING!"
Kat rushed and lowered himself to quite an extent, he managed to grab Lily's backpack too, and tried pulling up with Cass. They grabbed her hand in the process and pulled her up. Lily had passed out due to fear before she arrived to surface. "Lily?" Kat tried waking her up. "Huphh, that was tiring and Kat, SHE'S PASSED OUT! NOT SLEEPING!" Cassandra said annoyed by Kat's actions trying and 'waking' her up.
They ended up going to the last house Kat and Lily were in as it was the closest to where they were. They knocked on the door but this time, a young woman in her mid twenties showed up, "Yes- Oh no, is she ok?" The woman asked as she saw unconscious Lily. "In a nutshell, we are highschoolers, we had come here to find someone, we couldn't find her and  as we were returning, our friend slipped off a nearby cliff. Although we managed to pull her up, she passed out because of fear. Could you perhaps, help us out? We'll leave after she gets better!" Mark concluded. "Of course! Please come in, and pass your friend over to me and wait here I'll call you to my room when she regains consciousness." The woman gestured.

"Thank you.. Miss...?" Cassandra asked for her name to thank her. "Oh, my name is Lucy! Lucy Johnson!" She replied.
