That day the kids slept in fear in their lodge. They had confirmed two things on their side:
One, Vanberg is up to no good.
And two, the so-called games won't be easy...
Soon enough the night was over and the kids didn't step a foot out their room. 'Thank goodness the boys are staying in our room, the fear almost made me pee my pants!' Cassandra thought. "Maybe if we don't step out of our room, Vanberg won't start the game?" Lily questioned herself. "Let's just stay inside, I don't want us to fight ourselves out of a tornado or something," Mark said, responding to Lily's doubt. "He's Vanberg! Nothing we do will stop him, get that in your brain! This ain't a movie," Kat replied with bitter truth. "Let's just take the shot- " as Cassandra was convincing the others a huge lightning struck right outside their window.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" The kids collectively ran to the window to see a storm cloud the size of a baseball bat outside. "Hello players! I'm back as I said and ready with your first game." Vanberg said through the storm cloud. "Fine, but, are you scared to come infront of us? Always behind a cloud I see," mocked Cassandra. Vanberg got angry on the comment, striking another bolt of lightning near her.
Cassandra terrified: HOLY SHOOT!
"You are lucky I didn't take it that seriously. Anyways, we'll be heading to the place where the game will be held in three, two, one, TRANSFERO!" at Vanberg's call, the kids had teleported from their room to a damp classroom. "Ugh, this smells!" Cass complained covering her nose. "Welcome to the Obsidian Classroom! There are two types of games that'll take place here, a deadly one and a ghostly one. I need you to pick a number, 1 or 2?" Vanberg asked. Everyone trusted Lily way more than they trusted themselves and told her to choose. They wanted the ghostly one as they thought it was less risky.
"Uh, I choose number 2. What did we get?" Lily asked. "I see you wanted the ghostly one, and... That's the one you get," Vanberg announcd, making everyone mentally celebrate. "This classroom is a long one. Your challenge is to reach the other side by avoiding Obsidian*¹ attacks by ghouls. Who'll go first?" Vanberg asked the kids who looked at how lengthy the room was. "I-I'll go first!" Kat said raising his hand. "Kat, it's fine, I picked the challenge and it's only fair enough if I go first," Lily argued. "No, I want to go first cause I think I know how to go through this. Vanberg, how small are the Obsidian shots?" Kat asked the him. "The size of table tennis ball, now go and stand at this line, when you hear go, start the run." Vanberg let him know as Kat went to the starting line. "The game of the Obsidian Classroom starts on the count of three, two, one, GO!"
Kat started running maintaining low height. 'My ears can hear good sound, if I can hear the wind- OH SHOOT! DUCK,' Kat barely managed to dodge the first attack but little did he know the Obsidian shots came from beneath as well. The Obsidian shot was released piercing into his skin near his ankle, "AH!" he screamed in pain, trying to run. Due to his luck, all other shots went above and so he dodged them easily. He reached the other side and pressed a red button to indicate he had finished. 'Thank goodness,' Lily sighed in relief. "Would you like to be next, lady?" Vanberg asked while Lily made the face of disgust but agreed to go next. The countdown ended and she started running. She was doing well until she heard a Kat's voice say, "I-its hurting. You are not a good friend for letting me go first... YOU HURT ME!" The repetitive vocals slowed Lily's place alot and she missed two obsidian shots leaving her with two scrapes on her left arm. "OUCH!" she had nearly made the end and managed to dodge a last shot before clicking the buzzer. "Ah, two out of four friends successfully reached. Who's next?" Vanberg said."L-lily are you ok?" Kat asked looking at her arm.
"It's not that bad and I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I wanted to go first but you didn't let me!" she cried.
Kat not knowing what had happened shoved next to her, "Shh, calm down. I never said it was your fault."
"Y-you did, you said you were in pain and that I wasn't a good friend- for letting you leave first," Lily explained.
Kat realised what had happened and tried to explain it to her, "I never said that, you heard a mimic. I'd never say that to you,"
"R-really?"
"Yes! You know what come here,"
Lily turning 50 shades of red at this point, who says difficulties can't bring people closer?
Obsidian*¹- A sharp igneous rock which was used to make weapons in the early ages.
