The sun beams on my face as I slowly open my swollen eyes and try to get ready for another day. I spent the night crying wondering why and how all this happened without a clue. What did I do to deserve this? I thought Geneva  was speaking from the heart when we were in Dubai, but it looks like she was trying to keep everything secretive. That's why she gave me the credit card and we fucked like two horny teenagers the whole trip. Honestly, I feel sick and hurt by Geneva's confession, she promised me the world and so much more but in the end she broke her promise to never hurt me. I can't stay here anymore and make this apart of our relationship, so I pack a bag and head over to Travis' place.

As I walk down the winding staircase towards the door, I can't help but notice Geneva's standing in the door with tears in her eyes and trying to keep me from leaving.

"Geneva, please move, just let me leave alright!" I say while trying to move her petite figure out of the way.

"Baby please don't go I'm so sorry I promise you it was a one time thing." She cries and reaches out to grab me.

"Yeah, it was one time thing, and the time before that and let me guess every other time after will just be a one time thing right??" "Geneva I'm tired of being lied to and hurt by people, it's been that way my whole life and I'm stick of it!" "If I knew I could expect the same treatment from you I would have stayed far away and lived in the same environment that I was in before." "I thought you were different and you showed me that everybody is the same!"

I finally make it past and walk out of the door without looking back. I get into the UberX waiting outside for me and get to Travis' place in 10 minutes.

"What's up Cam?" He says while opening the door.

"Me and Geneva are done."

"What? Wait what the fuck happened?" He asks while shutting the door behind us.

"She's fucked David, the ex husband, confessed to it last night." I hold my head in my hands and breath.

"Damn." Travis leans back into the couch.

"Don't worry, I won't stay long I already connected with somebody about an condo so I'll be out in a few days."

"Aw man, it's no rush, you like family stay as long as you need to."

"Thanks bro, but I gotta get my own at some point."

I check my phone and see a text message from my dad, he wants to meet for dinner in two hours. Once I get settled into my room, I hop in the shower and quickly get dressed before heading over to Charlie's Steakhouse.

"Hey Dad." I walk over to our table and greet him with a hug.

"Hi honey, how are you?" He asks lifting up my chin and looking into my eyes.

"Well, there's been a lot going on, I'll explain after we order okay?"

We order our food and drinks and I finally gain the energy to tell him about what happened between me and Geneva.

"So what did you want to tell me honey?" He asks.

"Oh yeah, well, um.. I left Geneva this morning." "She cheated on me with her ex-husband." I slowly sink into my chair and my head drops in embarrassment.

"When did she manage to do all this?" "It seemed like you two were always together."

"I don't know dad, but when she told me it took the air out my chest for a little while." "I didn't want it to happen this way, I guess the saying you lose 'em how to you got 'em is true." I shrug my shoulders.

"I guess the real question you need to ask yourself is, are you willing to give up on something that you worked hard to build?" "Now to be fair, Geneva was in the wrong, but are you sure you want to let her go that easy and let that ex husband break apart what you fought hard for?" He says.

"I'll have to take some time and really think about this, I love Geneva with every fiber of my body but I won't tolerate cheating at all, especially with that piece of shit David." I take once last sip of water before my dad pays the bill and we part ways.

I head back over to the apartment but before I can unlock the door to go inside, Travis stops me.

"Hey, you won't believe who came and is here to see you." He says.

"Please don't tell me it's who I think it is."

Before he can ever answer, Geneva opens the door and steps out into the hallway.

"Cam, I want to take you home, please come home so we can talk about things please." Geneva says reaching out to grab my wrists and pull my hands to her lips to kiss them.

"Geneva stop, I don't want to talk about this with you because you've already said everything you needed to say."

Travis slips back into the apartment and closes the door, leaving us in the hallway to talk alone.

"I love you Cameron and I will never hurt you like this again, I can't and won't spend another minute without you."

"I just want to know why." "Why did you even sleep with him, why did you keep it a secret, and what did I do wrong that made you step out on me?" "After all I had to go through with my parents and people in the church judging me and kicking you out over our relationship, you cheat on me?" Tears fall from my eyes.

"I can't explain why I did it, It was a stupid decision and I wish that I could take it all back." "I haven't forgotten about the things we've had to go through, that's why I came to see you, I'm willing to do whatever just to not lose you." Geneva starts to cry as she wipes my tears.

"I love you, and you have a lot of work to do before you fully earn my trust again, but, I'm willing to try again under one condition." "You never speak to David ever, if you do I'm done and you won't ever see me again, understood?"

"I understand and you have my word Cameron." Geneva pulls me closer and kisses my lips firmly.

"I'll be back tomorrow afternoon okay?"

"Okay Cameron, I'll be waiting." She wipes the last tear from her cheek, smirks and kisses my lips one last time before heading towards the elevator.
