"CHAEYOUNG-AAAA!" a black haired girl comes running from the 'Arrivals' carrying a suitcase.
Rose smiles and takes the girl into a hug. They stay there, standing close to each other for a minute trying to forget the time apart. Rose holds back her tears because Jisoo would just laugh at her. Okey whatever, she is here and that is all that matters. A tear escapes her eye.
"Are you crying??!" Jisoo steps back and shakes her head.
"What?!! I missed you monkey." Rose defends herself.
"Okey okey.. I'll admit that I missed you stupidly much too." Jisoo confesses.
They both smile and just look at each other. It feels like nothing had changed between the girls.
"Wanna leave the airport and go to my apartment?" Rose asks after she got enough of staring at Jisoo.
"Definitely!" Jisoo exlaims, takes Rose's hand and starts walking.
They go with a bus, so Jisoo gets to see some of Melbourne already. Jisoo keeps her eyes open excitedly even though her flight was very long, over 13 hours. Rose leans her head on the older's shoulder and breathes her best friend's scent she missed a lot.
After a 30 minutes long ride, they get off and go to Rose's apartment. Rose helps Jisoo to carry her luggage, they do it together. While waiting for the elevator they chat about the black haired girl's flight and what she did.
"I watched a couple of movies, slept a lot and ate." Jisoo explains.
"Of course." Rose nods her head and they step into the elevator.
"It has been too long. A year is too long to be apart." Jisoo complains pouting her lips.
"Well you're here now, isn't it nice?" Rose hugs the girl again.
"It is, but I wanna see your stupid face more often." Jisoo hugs the girl back. Rose just laughs.
Rose leads them into her apartment. It gives her a sense of familiarity. Jennie was the last person that has been here. She was there two weeks ago when Jisoo called. Rose misses Jennie's presence.
"Leave your stuff in the corner and come eat." Rose tells Jisoo and goes to the kitchen to wait.
"Ok mom." Jisoo smirks.
They eat fairly fast and Rose just laughs when Jisoo almost chokes on a piece of bread because she is swallowing quickly.
"Don't laugh at me Chaeng-ah." Jisoo pouts.
"Are you traveling all the way here just to choke on my food?" Rose shakes her head in disbelief.
"In my defence, it was way too good. This good food should be illegal."
"I hope you aren't too tired?" Rose starts.
"Why?" Jisoo asks.
"There is an arcade open tonight in the city. Would you like to go play?"
"OMG YES!!" Jisoo gets excited. "I can sleep when I'm old."
While Rose is cleaning up the table and her kitchen, Jisoo changes her clothes and freshens up herself. It takes about half an hour and then the girls are ready to leave. Rose called an Uber for them to get to the city easily. The ride to the arcade is 15 minutes.
"I'm sooo excited to play some fun games! You know I love it." Jisoo is full of childlike joy.
"That's why I suggest it, to make you happy." Rose smiles at her best friend.
